When I was in my second high school, the teachers frequently locked most of the bathrooms. Idk why, they did. Some speculated it was to prevent kids from smoking marijuana or vaping in the bathrooms during school hours (though I doubt this for many reasons) but I always joked it was because the school was afraid someone was gonna steal their toilets. I always said "I'd like to see someone fucking try and sneak a toilet through the school without anyone seeing. Yeah right." *_So today, I've learnt to never underestimate the ingenuity of the worlds youth when it comes to attaining internet clout._*

Had a squirrel outside of my home growing up that never learned that windows exist, he kept running into my window next to a tree branch, he fell, only to climb up and tried to go through the "invisible barrier" again, trying like four times before giving up for a while. I just hate going through the TIK TOK feed and it's 12 of the same stolen content with different couples. All of them just copy each other. Same camera angles and everything.

My father used to handle discipline policy for a school district. He retired before TikTok but RU-vid first became big during his career and it became a trend for kids to start fist fights and post them on RU-vid. I asked him what he thought of social media as a trend and he said, contrary to popular opinion, it actually made his job much easier. Any time a fight broke out kids would thoughtfully post timestamped video evidence of it online. In the past schools had to investigate and figure out what happened but now those investigations consisted of "yup, that looks like the kid".

Honestly, I absolutely DESPISE tiktok. It's ruined most of my friends, and some of my family members. Yeah, at one point I tried using it, ya know "How do I know I hate it if I've never used it" kind of thing. It was pleasant at first, it had some content that actually interested me a bit. I even posted two videos of some art speed paints I did. Then I watched this lovely video about dinosaurs, just some super basic fun facts. I thought maybe if I look in the comments of the video there would be some interesting input from other people. I was wrong, I was horribly wrong. There were literal adults who were saying that dinosaurs never existed and that all the fossils are fake and that "they" just want you to believe that and stuff like that. There were several comment chains between people who were just arguing over this. Then it slowly devolved into more and more cringy and stupid videos until I broke and just removed the app altogether. I refuse to open that app again. It's cursed, and not in a good way.

This whole trend is basically “can’t have shit in Detroit” meme. but now it’s everywhere

I swear to God, 90% of TikTok challenges are just fatherless teens competing with each other on who can be the biggest and most idiotic degenerate for no reason other than to gain recognition for about two days.

Walking on the campus trying to find a restroom after seeing 3 out of order signs on each of the ones I’d passed. Turns out, the reason they were out of order was because some kids tried to steal urinals from the bathrooms and got caught on the security cameras on the way out. Needless to say, they got suspended for an indefinite amount of time and were fined a few hundred dollars for loitering and stealing school property.

This isnt even the worst. There were suicide trends "back in the day" on social media platforms.

As a kid actually in school during this whole lick thing, this is very real. we both have a urinal and a soap dispenser missing, and a couple days ago, apparently someone in a different school ACTUALLY KNOCKED OUT THE PRINCIPAL. I hate this generation.

I’ve moved from Florida to New Mexico on my dads property recently and decided to do state virtual to finish my diploma early, and I couldn’t have chosen a better time to go full virtual. My old high school has been destroying itself over the last few weeks with a bunch of people stealing things from toilets to the tile on bathroom walls. Not only stealing, but moshpits have been happening 24/7 and one even resulted in a kid getting shanked and pulled out of school on a stretcher. They did post it on tik tok for the "funny" and ofc the police are involved in this situation. Now the only bathroom for boys and girls are in the cafeteria in my school, also, the teachers are now more stricter when you ask to go use the restroom; this is highschool we're talking about.

4:57 reminds me of the time we got called to a school by an alarm tripped (god knows why the school has an alarm system) but we got there and found some kid going for what looks like what everyone goes for. Kids really don't like dispensers.

This one time in high school I decided to break into my school and post up like 120 printed out photos of our learning director all over the school. He's this tall, bald, scary looking man. And come the next day, seeing this man come face to face around every corner with yet another photo of himself, the pause and devastation behind this once high ranking marine- it brought pure joy to my cold, dead heart. He was such a good sport about it too. The photos stayed up until the monday the next week.

The dumb stuff we did in highschool was figuring out then entire school system, every building in the district, was on the same WAN. There was no separation between the buildings virtually. This meant you could run district wide Halo or Halflife games. It became a mess, and was very silly and dumb, but it was fun at least.

I remember when i was like 9 years old and i was hanging out with my friends. It was reallllly hot that day, the police department didnt turn on the hose. I remember 19 or 20 years ago when I was in first grade, every friday we got to 'Guess how many (insert candy) are in the jar' and if your guess was closest to right, you won something from the toy box to keep. Once, I saw a small bottle of silver sparkle nail polish in the toy box. (Dollar store cheapy shit, but it didnt matter to me back then. I thought nail polish was just nail polish and it was all just one and the same.) Being that I was quite a young lad, and a mama's boy. I wanted to win it for her because I thought she would look pretty with silver sparkled nails. So, when I didnt win, I remember how bad it made me feel. I felt crushed because I really wanted to make her happy and in some way win her affection. So, when nobody was looking I stole it. In my dumb and innocent adolescence I knew it was wrong, but the love I had for my mother at the time far outweighed the guilt I felt for being a thief. When I brought it home to her I was beaming with pride but quickly she unraveled that I had stolen it for her. In the end, I had to do the right thing and return the nail polish as well as apologize to my teacher for stealing it. They both understood that my reason behind stealing it though pure, was still wrong and didnt justify theft. I missed a couple weeks of recess for that stunt. But hey, I learned my lesson. Mothers birthday was last week. Maybe as a little joke, I'll buy her some high quality silver sparkle nail polish and see if she remembers lol Dont steal, no matter the reason or how justified you may feel for doing so in your head. My mom teaches at a school in texas a kid stole a thermostat cover and ended up breaking it. The school is now forcing the kid to pay for it which its costing him a little over 600$. The kid is also 17 so in texas he gets treated like an adult, I'm not sure if the school is gonna press charges though I imagine if they want the kids to stop they are gonna have to.
