I read an article during covid that social media has a negative affect on young people. And that it was associated w/ mental health issues such as anxiety, depression and peer pressure and that is why I limit my social media. I never had an Instagram, TT only FB & Y-tube. Also, one of my friend watchs TT until 4 or 5 in the morning and has become addicted, so I avoid it. So sad to see young people having self-esteem problems, their problems is never solved w/ surgery. My respect to you for not having IG! 🙌🏻 I’ve heard/read similar things from psychologists about negative impact on people especially teenagers. And also TikTok is toxic and people get addicted.. I think people might have become addicted to TT/developed a habit of scrolling during the pandemic when we were locked inside homes.. Personally I don’t spend so much time social media, especially when now I try to create more so I don’t even have time to watch, I do it mostly to see what’s going on and what people talk about, what are trends. Also enjoy some creative videos, home decor inspiration etc. so it can be good if used right in moderation but definitely we can’t expect wisdom from teenagers! I think it’s important to talk about it and show the reality more so it became a bit more normal - thank you for a good discussion Darling! 💓
