This is just a little tip I learned, my mom actually has been using the elf exfoliator for YEARS!!! The way I do it to keep it from being so abrasive: I only apply the lipstick part to my bottom lip and then I rub my lips together. I do not put it on my top lip unless they are REALLY chapped
