Wow that’s awesome info thanks so much for trying that and coming back and sharing that. And if you just put them on a day ago and it still worked while the glue was that strong still says a lot. Thanks so much friend 💕💕 your vids are so cute by the way 🌸
Oh Na , this saved my life!!! I tried on acrylic set; hot water , dawn soap + olive oil and a curved sewing needle . Let them soak for like 5-10 minute, pushed them sides in then CAREFULLY lifted my nail from off the edges and voila! They came off beautifully , right before my appointment 😬. No more broken nails or extra take off fees 🥴😂 Thanks for this Queen!!
@@sofi9218 I had mine on for about a month , I usually keep getting refills on a set for 3/4 weeks then take them off for a new fresh set. It would work on a week set just soak for a little longer.
YALL THIS WORKS!!! I came across this video because it was time for me to soak off my Markartt polygel and I was DREADING using acetone/e-file because it literally rips apart my natural nail everytime. I’m trying to grow out my natural nail underneath the polygel. I used coconut oil instead of olive oil (roughly 2 tablespoons) because I have a ton of it with Dawn dishwashing soap in the exact same method that she describes. I soaked for 10 minutes and ZERO damage to my natural nails!!! This is like a damn miracle! Literally the safest fastest way to remove polygel nails EVER! they popped off exactly like hers in the video. Thanks SIS!!!!
Coconut oil ok 👌 NOTED!! Thanks so much for sharing that sis so glad this worked for you 😃😃 I’ve done it twice now and worked effortlessly both times !!
It worked on My acrylics! I just made the water a tad bit warmer and soaked for 5 minutes and it popped right off and I used dental floss picks to remove mine and it WORKED within minutes!😁💜
Thx Alli! Just the info/answer I was looking for!! 🙏 Hi Tara! I'm a new Subbie 🤗 Your chnl is just what I've been looking for 🙏 Just got my 1st ACRYLICS after about 15 or 18 yrs. Had such BAD experiences w/ nail salons in the past but only reason I got them last wkend was bcuz my real nails were EMBARRASING & I was attending my brothers FUNERAL 😔 & needed to look decent. I paid $95 (incldng tip for a mani/pedi) which was NOT in my monthly budget..but I didn't want to be embarrased. I would like to start using PRESS ONS for future occasions bcuz of my budget. Hoping u have a video for that? 🙏 BTW! I also LUUUV your VIBE & U are GORGEOUS!! 💜💞
Hi Sandy!! Nice to meet you 😊 so sorry to hear about your loss though, I cannot imagine. I have a lot of nail “art” videos. I do have a video of a press on kit. Well they’re called “soft gel” extensions because they’re stronger and last longer than traditional press on nails. But can be soaked off completely. Here’s a video for a kit that I really like if you want to watch that one day 😃😃 Bellavena Mini Gel Tip Kit ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-52CwvTyo6L8.html
This worked amazingly well on my gel polish just now! With two ingredients I already had at home, and felt sooo much more nourishing than straight acetone on my fingers🤢 thank you so much!!!
Ohh, now i wanna try it out. Also, why is she overflowing with charisma??? I was genuinely enjoying the video like i was hanging out with a friend or something, so sweet.
I just did polygel for the first time without doing any research on how to get them off.. your video was the 2nd video I came across. Number one, I have to say, I love your personality! Im not a fan of how fake influencers sound in their videos, you definitely seem true to you and I cant say enough how much I appreciate that in this video. Number 2, you saved me so much time in getting polygel off my nails as well you saved my nails from awful filing and drying out! Im a subscriber for life girl.. keep those videos coming!!
I tried this method with Presidents Choice dishwashing, olive oil and warm water and it worked perfectly for my acrylics. I used dental floss stick and the sharp edges of my nails that had already come off. Thank you!
I just tried this method! I saved time and money plus i only had mines for a week. They came off with no damage plus it was relaxing as hell lmaooo I had freshly done acrylics and it still worked. The trick is to do 2- 3 rounds ( or as much as you need depending on the nail type. ) for just 5 - 10 minutes each hand and you will be just fine! 🤩🤩🤩💓
I genuinely appreciate your real ass energy and review. I literally applied acrylics for practice nc im a beginner and your video popped upon my search for removal and girl!!! I wish I could subscribe 10000000 more times
Yay!!! Thank you!! It worked even after 8 hours of doing my nails with polygel. I had to remove them because I had an allergic reaction to polygel. Thank you again.
thank you thank you thank you! this completely removed my gel no chip nail polish. I just made the water a little hotter and used tweezers to peel it. You saved my day. thank you!
I just found this video and it worked for the gel x!!! I literally just took my nails off. I soaked for 10 mins straight through, them popped then off. Thank you so much !!!
I’ve been debating whether I wanted to do my nails again after the nightmare I just had of removing them, and this just convinced me. ❤️ Also I love your whole vibe, I’m subscribing!
Well I hope this works out for you when removing them if they don’t work out next time. Glad you enjoyed and thanks for subscribing that means so much 🥰
Thank you for this!! I agree people would upload videos but never mentioned what type of nails they had :( I appreciate this video!!! Such a a lifesaver
Yay!! I just bought some gel polish and machine and figured it would be a good idea to research how to remove the polish before I actually applied it 🤣🤣 Acetone scares the heck out of me and I've had bad experience with salons... SOOO glad I found this video!!
Sweet, so glad this worked. I put on poly gel nails last weekend for the first time and made alot of goopy mistakes so I want to remove them but was unsure how to go about it and really didn’t want to soak in acetone. Thanks again, I’ll give it a try❤
i used a similar method with just soap and hot-water for my acrylics. I got 5 of them off in 20 minutes, i'm sure the oil would help much more and I'll probably try it next time :)
Hi Tara! Thank you. Thank you, thank you! I had my nails “dipped” for a wedding almost 5 weeks ago. I had to soak them for a 30 to 40 minutes to get the last two nails to pop off. They were my real nails and it worked! My nails are a bit soft (they filed the nail bed too much) - but they are free! Brilliant! TY TY Yay! ❤️💕💖😁
in some salons they use a press on nail to remove acrylic and gel. if u use a rounded cuticle pusher tool, it may work better. I use a gel form that gets the nail off in one push
I will definitely be trying this! I got some acrylics for the first time and the bed of it on my pointer finger lifted. It bent my natural nail and it hurts very bad even when I accidentally brush against that finger. I'll try this before trying pure acetone because I don't want it to hurt anymore than it already does. Thanks so much for this!
I hope his helped you out! Pure acetone burns and can be very drying, though it does work too but I would rather avoid it when I can. Sorry your nail got hurt 😔.
OMG! I’m in the same situation 😩 my nail is throbbin and I did not wanna use acetone to burn it even more. I’ll be trying this method too. Hope it works for me 🤞🏽
I have never seen one of your videos. I just wanted to tell you that you did a great job. Your nails were really pretty and I really like the way your voice sounds and I love the way you narrated it! Wonderful job and I am about to go give this a try.
I did this and it worked. I did polygel on my own nails. Saw this, gave it a try and it worked a treat. They popped of. I helped the removal of course by squeezing the sidewalls and wiggling the polygel a bit. Also I soaked for 12-15 mins. It does work. Ya just got to adjust oil and soap and warmth of the water. Patience too.❤ Thanks for your video.
Tried it and it works. However, I'd only recommend it if you have very thick strong nails. Because if you're like me, with thin paper nails, soaking them also weakens your nails and they break off with your tips. So a definite no. Acetone then is a better option or just filing them down.
I have super thin nails and I use this clear polish called 1 Minute Artificial Nails. It works and when I'm not wearing nails, it keeps my nails hard. If I could paint my nails a legit color, I know it would keep them strong. lol... I'm better at painting my fingers. 😂
I tried on my acrylics and it took off the couple that were already on the verge of falling off but the others that were stuck on good it took foreverrrr like hrs and that's that I cut my nails short and tried lifting the edges. I took a nail tool and picked and picked then soaked more and it took approximately 2hrs or more. I had to add pure acetone halfway through the process to speed things up and that's what helped. My nail tech does an awsome job where my nails never fall off but I had banged my extra long nails so many times that it made 2 of them loose. Maybe for other ppl it would work but my nails were stuck on super good.
Thank you for sharing that 😊 ! You tried for a long time too and they still wouldn’t budge that’s crazy. Yea your nail tech must be using the good stuff !! I tried this oil and soap thing so I could get away from acetone because it’s so drying but it is faster and always works.
@@LuxeNailsWithTara Yes the acetone works faster but it still takes a long time for me idk my nails are stuck on so good. I wish there was another option because the acetone makes my fingers so dry and wrinkled. I feel like it damages my skin making it more wrinkled which I hate because my hands look older than I am lol. Plus all those chemicals going in the skin for such a long time.
Dab any type of kitchen cooking oil-olive, canola or sunflower-onto a paper towel. Then lay the paper towel over the residue that refuses to budge. Wait a few minutes while the oil works to dissolve the stubborn glue. Finally, remove the towel and rub away the sticker residue with another clean paper towel. A degree of caution is necessary when using this cooking oil method. This is because many oils can stain absorbent materials like clothing. If you are concerned about leaving a stain, test a drop of your chosen oil on an inconspicuous part of the object. And proceed only if the oil leaves no trace to remove glue residue.
I love how the glittery mat made the water look sparkly. 😂 This is awesome! I love learning things to get the same job done that are less harsh by using things we probably already have at home anyway.
Love your sharing this hack. I’ve had my nails (acrylics) for over 3 years. Recently moved and can not find a good nails shop. Taking them off. I can’t wait to try this. Wish me luck 🍀 thanks
Just did this on my gelx nails…definitely not a 10 min hack… took more like a total of 2 hrs of soaking on and off and changing water when it got cold but they all came off LoL was pruny but at least I didn’t wreak of acetone! Thanks for sharing!
2 hours !? You have more patience than me! But that is interesting to note that it takes longer on gel X. Glad it eventually worked for ya!! Thanks so much for the feedback 😊💞
@@christinaleister1387 I figure the acetone would work faster especially when it’s warm/hot. But I was curious about this method on gel nails too. I might just stick with acetone for my gel nails & try this for PG & Acrylic.
It really worked!! Thank you so much for posting. I was too lazy to change the water when it got cold and I continued with the cold water. Work just as well.
Thank you so much!! 💓 I had 35 minutes before I had to leave and every other video was just blah, not even about to work or treat my nails right. Then I found your video and this completely worked last minute You're a life saver and so funny!
So I just came across this video. I have had acrylic on my toes since June. This was my first time doing it and although it looks nice I would never get them done again. I been trying to remove them since forever (unable to get them removed. Nail tech is always booked months in advance and doesn't work weekends) Anyway I just tried this and so far it worked I was able to get ridof the acrylic on my big toe. Now time to try the other. Thanks so much for this video !!!!!
Works on glue-on nails. I use Dawn, coconut oil and hot water (as hot as I can take without burning). Takes a long time, maybe a half hour. After that I use dental floss. The nails that don’t come off easily I soak again. It isn’t a quick process.
I’m definitely going to try this with polygel and my KS gelly tips! I’ll probably soak them for a longer than you did; I have a connective tissue disorder and my nails get damaged easily. I find that acetone just makes it worse!
@@LuxeNailsWithTara I tried this Dawn, Olive oil, and hot water method right after I viewed your video tonight. This method (just as you showed us subscribers) ABSOLUTELY WORKS! I used 3 tablespoons each of olive oil and Dawn with approximately 1/2 cup hot tap water in an attempt to recreate something close to the measurements I guessed you originally used. Again, this absolutely WORKS!!! I desperately had to remove the gels as I heard about horror stories from regarding the salon I went to. I wanted the gels OFF ASAP due to sloppy nail salon practices in my area. I was informed by a neighbor who underwent nearly a year of treatment with her dermatologist for nail fungus from the salon I had gone to just days before! Thank you so much for posting. I was able to successfully remove the gels just in time to save my own nails. The nails fell off in a matter of 12 minutes- no pain, no filing, and NO fungus. Keep up the outstanding work!
OMG that is so scary I can’t believe places are able to stay open knowing they aren’t practicing safely and causing people to get infections!!! Makes me so mad! But I’m so glad you were able to find this video in time able to get your nails off safely and keep your nails healthy!! Thanks so much the update it really means a lot when you guys let me know it worked for you too 💕🤠☺️
One broke, but we ain’t talking about that right now 😂. This gives me hope that this will work for my press ons. I hate soaking in acetone and have a bad habit of chewing the damn things off.
I can’t wear gel nails on my natural nail bed. I normally do press ons with gel products. If I want to pop off my press ons off… will this method work the same way?
I'd say my glitters come off fine too sometimes when I'm not even trying lol.... so I'd say it def makes a difference...... I'll go ahead and subscribe to help a girl out..... I might start a diy channel soon if I do I hope to get some love back....best of luck to ya girl. God bless!
Love this video. I'm just starting with my nails and I hate taking my acrylic off. Hopefully this will work for them because I get so dried out from acetone. Then I get to try applying them. So nervous about it.
I stumbled across this video looking for a better way to remove my nails at home and I LOVE your personality. Subscribed. I'll definitely be back. You're funny as hell.
I have to try this. I’ve taken off 3 sets of polygel with an e file and my nails are weak and beat tf up now. I’m afraid to do anything to them at this point lol Edit: I tried it and wow it works wtf 😩 thanks for this
Oh yea the efiles can be dangerous because you can accidentally go too deep into your natural nail bed. I like this way because the oil loosens the glue off your nail bed cleanly. If anything you can efile a thin layer off and then soak with acetone to be 100% safe. Good luck ☺️
You are too stinkin cute. Thank you so much for this tip, I'm gonna try this for sure. I really don't like the way acetone makes my skin and nails feel. Plus thus can work with my plan for more self care. 🙂❤
Ive had my set on for almost 4 weeks omg. they’re starting to lift and ima try this method tomorrow cause filing takes foreveerr Ill leave an update on my results, how long it took etc
I had normal plastic nails that I glued on with nail glue, I was able to remove them using warm water and dish soap, but I have excess glue on my nails & Idk how to remove it😭 Plz help if you know how
Oooh girl I'm gonna try this. I put polygel on by myself for the very first time yesterday and it looks like shit so I gotta soak this off and try again 😂. Thanks for the tip!
Going to use Grapeseed oil and Dr. Bronner's fragrance free liquid Castile soap and Spring water heated to 70 degrees Fahrenheit from electric tea kettle boiler for Powder acrylic base with Shellac gel overlay.
