Ovaltine Jenkins Thank you so much for watching! I agree that Elsa quick change is awesome! If you enjoyed this, I recommend this video of mine: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Rxk17_Vu4ng.html :)
I believe they packed rye rest of the costume on the inside of her coronation dress, then they pull something that undoes the coronation dress to reveal the ice dress.
@@severigne_m7652 I've heard that and seen the video, but I've also heard somewhere that the quick changes where the actress doesn't touch the dress involved strong magnets that pulled the coronation dress into the trap room? Can not confirm, however.
I was actually in this production. So Elsa was surrounded by three girls, two of the sides and one in the back. The girl in the back was untying a ribbon which helped to hold the dress together. The front of the dress was held with magnets so when they pulled on the dress it split apart.
alright so i played crutchie in a production of newsies, and during the 'who wants brooklyn?' scene, pretty much everyone was sitting (which made no sense but whatever) so bascially when that line came around, they had me just like, stare at a wall
Whoa, a lot more Frozen Wow The only theatre production I can think of with a flying chandelier was the thespian 2000 production of Hamlet A lot of table issues Ok Those costumes look like froggy gummies Aww... cute I’d put time stamps for when I react but my opinion is irrelevant. It’s to the extreme that a backstage like me doesn’t know what’s happening anymore~
Pinetree :D That was not supposed to happen? I don't know where it's from, so by the way she shrugged it off like it was nothing I thought it was maybe scripted
The song is from the wiz haha, but I have still don't know who the sponges are supposed to be. Also, the actresses all appear to be white, which isn't a great idea for a musical meant for an all black cast lol
Amy H. From what I see it’s a dance company, and it’s just a song their race doesn’t matter. Also I think the sponge like costumes are supposed to be like the yellow brick road and the emerald city.
El Can’t Decide A Hogwarts House I have no idea, but I read in another comment that it's from a musical called The Wiz and the sponges are supposed to be the yellow brick road or something
8:24 was smooooth. She came back from that and she was just like “yeah, it happened, but for now we’re gonna pretend it didn’t.” 😂👏 Seriously tho, is she okay?
you ever feel like less of a theater kid or get shamed for not being "a true theater kid" Because you've never seen a live Broadway show or a live play. like sis I live in Northern Nevada you think I can just go watch a Broadway show like it costs nothing and it's a block away? also knowing/ liking the classics. there's really no way for me to watch those and honestly they're boring
Just ignore everyone who tries to gate keep, honestly. I live in Germany - most popular musicals don't make it over here (only Disney Musicals). I try to watch everything live when I can, but I had to watch most musicals online and... there isn't much of a difference. We're still theatre kids.
@@kayla4551 sadly I don't. I have to drive four hours to get there and have to stay overnight in most cases which is rather expensive (I'm still a trainee). But, as I said, I still try to watch most of the shows life. I actually went to Stuttgart once and Hamburg twice now (and I'm planning two more trips) but still, most 'famous' Musicals don't make it here. Hamilton is amazing (eventhough the hype started to slow down, if it wasn't for the streaming on Disney Plus, I probably wouldn't have thought of it anymore at all), but it's coming years too late. And I'm still missing popular shows like Heathers, Beetlejuice, Hadestown, Dear Evan Hanson, Be More Chill, Waitress, and so on. Book of Mormon managed to tour last year, actually performing the show in english in Cologne which was amazing. But tracking down recent musicals is nearly impossible.
I broke a glass table as a kid and it had nothing to do with theatre. I wish it did because then it would mean my dumb ass didn't just straight up sit on a glass table for no reason.
0:30 I actually started crying we were supposed to do that musical this year and my friend was supposed to be Elsa and she was going to do so well but now we cant :(
Robyn Dwyer I know it’s hard that everything is being cancelled. Try to think positive. I’m sure your director will find a way to reschedule. The show must go on!
I have a feeling that the Paw Patrol costumes were designed like that so the kids wouldn't get too freaked out over machines, kinda like they tend to do with the dinosaur robots in museums (even though they might know its fake, they tend to forget for a second and a friendly human smile is better to bring them back than a giant puppy that could swallow them whole). Plus the clarity of the mics outside the robot vs inside, although I would have also thought they would have just pre recorded it and had people moving the puppets/ robots instead of the full theater experience.
Can we just appreciate how Frozen the broadway show didn't go entirely on race and went on how they represented the characters and the quality of the acting?
Anna Kooima I have! I didn’t like it the first time I watched it which was disappointing because I was SO EXCITED but it’s grown on me more and more. It’s definitely not as good as tgwdlm and I’m hoping nerdy prunes will be more like that in terms of plot flow than Black Friday
I mean, I've had classes in weird places, like the auditorium because there was a problem in the classroom or it was being used for another class, or there was testing, so I don't doubt the relocation that much.
@Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy So girls don't have falsetto, that's a guy thing. We just have chest voice and head voice. She also never used her head voice. She belted the whole thing. And while her runs were unnecessary, they were very impressive. You may not like the way she sang it, but you can't deny that she's really talented. She has a very impressive vocal range and incredible vocal agility.
Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy lmao I get it, I’m not a stranger to brain farts. Also, as for cringe or not, I think that just comes down to opinion, which of course, you are totally entitled to your own. 😁
Kelly O’Dea the last tik tok was a guy saying that the day he was supposed to watch beetle juice it got cancelled due to coronavirus and he had flown in to see it
@@squirrmine4843 BMC is basically “how do you fellow kids” the musical. Pretty cliche, kind of mean to women, that dear evan Hansen movie thing where they have homophobic jokes but said by a bi guy so ‘it’s fine,’ general laziness along those lines, unrelatable usage of social media. Ofc its fanfiction is fire though lol. I recommend Yellow Caballero. All their works are good, and they even have a meta fic where Michael, Christine, Jeremy, and the others are putting on a production of BMC and poking fun at it.
2:17 I felt the same way but instead I thought I was gonna dress as Olaf, but nope he was just a puppet (that was so tall it reached to my hips and was heavy when I held him for the whole show and it made my hands and arm sore for the rest of the day💀) but I still had fun playing as Olaf cause who wouldn’t 😊
5:54 How does a HIGH SCHOOL do the chandelier thing?! It’s a HIGH SCHOOL! They can’t pull off stuff like this! What, did the director sell their soul to the devil?!
Some people drink coffee in the morning to stay energized Some people drink energy drinks But, none are as effective as the special energy drink us theatre kids drink to act at 7:00 in the morning It is called Determination
