Yea, first year of highschool I auditioned for killer queen, and a bunch of older girls said ‘wow... how bold of you!’ Some were genuinely supportive... other weren’t. I got a call-back for the role but it was ultimately scrapped because the school apparently couldn’t afford the production. (I’m now in year ten (two years left of school) and they haven’t done a production since 🙃) it’s sad

Thats why i will never trust seniors(though im canadian and we dont refer to grade 12's as seniors 😋), ever.

See that dramatic quick change you have to do it fast bc u need time to spare. In Peter Pan I was a brave girl and smee and they legit have 10 seconds in between scenes and lots of people were a pirate and a brave girl soooooo

Funny story: I played Penny in Hairspray Jr. when I was 8, and I needed a change 1 minute long into a different dress. I learned the dance but only got to do half of it! And the guy who played Seaweed was 11 and he was also kinda mean. And then we had to fake kiss like 6 inches away! But at least the girl playing the lead(Tracy) was 15 years old and also, I had a crush on the guy who played Link.

Ooh my first show (Honk Jr.), I played Henrietta, but cuz our cast was small, I also was ensemble. I had an insanely quick quick change to get out of my froglet costume and into my blizzard costume, plus modify my makeup a bit. Opening night, I run on late because of that quick change

In 6th grade, we were doing Singin’ in the Rain. I, featured ensemble, had to do an about 45 second quick change from a very hard to get on and off sparkly dress into another dress for the last scene of the show. I had lines in the scene. But I was ALWAYS late. That sparkly thing was the hardest thing to unbutton. They had to cut out the change the REHEARSAL BEFORE OPENING NIGHT. I was lost on stage because I didn’t know where the people who didn’t change were supposed to be. I’ve gotten better since then lol.

Lol yeah as an Irish dancer I loved that they were included. I must say, I’m such a fan of their creativity, it goes along to the music so well with so many little cool additions. The first one is hard tho, id take a bit of practice for me to get that one down, I applaud them

@@twistysnacks gladly that was a highlight of that show. She was playing this caged bird in Once Upon a Mattress (i think it was a Nighting Gale but I'm not sure as I was in 3rd or 4th grade at the time. I have never been so happy to not be in a scene because holy cannoli I was dying
