George never overstated his playing. He made it look easy, like it was perfectly natural for him to be perfect. He was born to play. And, he did this as a teen.
Omg your amazing. Finally someone who explains things well and SHOWS CHORD CHARTS at the same time, so we don’t have to squint & try and figure out the fingering. Subscribed.
Beautiful, amazing! In Mexico we call this type of music “bolero” that still is very popular . The Beatles captured the feeling of the Latin music Of those years.
Hi Howard, thank you for your great, accurate and passionate job. I remember how hard but satisfied was to learn this masterpiece when i was fourteen. Now i'm fortyeight and still enjoy that play so much. It's nice your sharing... Cheers from Italy.
I've always felt he was a very underrated guitarist... I seem to remember a joint interview somewhere with Page and Beck - and they both raved about him :-)
Go watch them on Ed Sullivan show and pay attention to George. He wrote such great leads and additions to their songs. We really can’t say enough about The Beatles, can we?
@@247GuitarwithHowardHart "Till There Was You" is a song written by Meredith Willson for her 1957 musical The Music Man, and which also appeared in the 1962 film version. In the Beatles version, George gives it a Latin bolero twist.
@@247GuitarwithHowardHart The chemistry between all was the band! Add John the strummer , Paul’s angelic voice, George adds the flavors in his melodic riffs, Ringo always there spot on. So many Beatles songs you can never be bored in this life ! Still! Great Job!
@@247GuitarwithHowardHart I loved George too , if one can have a favorite . I pushed some of his son Dhaniis songs out there as he was a fan of my art page . He wrote a beautiful letter to my brother , when he was ill. I’ll never forget that .looks just like his dad . Wow.
Thank you Howard for all these great tutorials. For someone who has played and studied these songs from the early 60's, I must say your guitar playing is exceptional. Spot on! You are my new favorite guitar channel. Your Beatle song tutorials are simply the best. You are a born guitarist. Great work! Keep on keepin' on. I almost forgot to mention that you are an excellent teacher as well!
Hello Howard. I love the way you are teaching us. There is only 1 minus. Because I love all your lessons, I hop from blues to jazz, from Beatles to Al Dimeola. Which I should not do. I am 72 years young, I started to play guitar when I was about 15 untill the age of 30. Had various guitars etc. At the age of 30 I stopped playing and sold everything. Never understood why I did not continue playing guitar. Probably to busy with other things. I recently bought myselve a nice Epiphone Casino and enjoying your lessons. Thanks again for briefing back the love for playing guitar. Kind regards, Peter
Awesome lesson! This is one of the best I've seen on RU-vid! Great job! Love the Beatles favorite band and greatest band of all time! Keep up the great videos!
Thanks for the help . I had to teak a break for my tendinitis , and you feel like you lost it all! Getting it back. I learned that solo pretty well years ago by ear. I was close! Very . But you nailed all the details.
so gifted guitarist and beautiful voice! and thanks for info, all the time i thought that is beatles composition. so beautiful piece by meredith wilson!
Obrigado pela explicação técnica. Aqui na Amazônia brasileira, cultivamos George e os Beatles como grandes mestres. Nunca mais no mundo se farão harmonias tão belas.
Nice cord progression smoth also I could of thought y9u where Bob Brown his wife was his singer when he giged of went to record he was a good teacher of music could play any song and very calm and peaceful man a true music and guitar instructor like yourself...RocknRollFlat5..
Very accessible. Thank you! The one riff sliding the 3 minor chords down the neck is reminiscent of "Do You Want to Know a Secret". Which song came first?
Great stuff Howard.... lovely chords. Could you tell me if you have changed your pick ups on your Tele. I have the same guitar but my bridge pickup (original) seems to have raised buttons on it in places and is quite wobbly. Any suggestions? Many thanks again!
Hi - The pickups on me Tele are stock, and I'm pretty happy with them. But, I really like DiMarzio's replacement pickups for Telecasters as well. You might try one if you're looking to switch it out :-)
Hi there, absolutely brilliant cover of one of my favourite beatles songs. With George's fills, does he not play more than that as a lead guitarist? I've seen other covers which show the lead guitar playing all the way through the song over lennons rhythm work. I'm not saying you're wrong I'm just not sure what's correct. cheers.
George does actually play thru-out the tune... But a lot of "ghost note" type stuff - Sometimes even a single note played against a chord :-) I wanted to focus on the song primarily, as well as his solo of course. I simply added the fills that stand out on the recording for fun. And after watching some live videos... he changes it up all the time anyway! Thanks for watching. He's a favorite guitarist of mine for sure.
I wanna now if u use the action of your guitar not so low cause with this stong strumming my strings are buzzing in the fret. And I´m curious about the strings gauge and the guitar model, is it a Fender?
Hi - it's an American Standard Tele... The strings are 9 thru 42 and the action is pretty smooth, but not super low. I like a little "pull" under my fingers.
