Do I understand the language or what he is singing about? Not a word! The way I understand him is the way he expresses such passion and emotion while singing this beautiful song. Simply beautiful!

The lowest estimate I heard is 500 but I think it is higher than that. He sang just about everything in life.He was at every battlefield Ethiopia fought for its continued survival, entertaining and boosting the morale of soldiers at the frontline with his much loved patriotic songs.He left an indelible mark in the Ethiopian music industry and culture. Some might disagree with me but I think the genre of Tiahun's music is separate and different from the others we know. That may be what makes him so special.
