Hey everyone!
Lets cut some Agates with my tile saw! Today we are cutting a bunch of gorgeous minerals that have been found throughout my last year of rockhounding. These have been found around the Lake Superior region. I use my new, to me, 7in tile saw, another enormous thank you to that tremendous person who gifted it to me! We are going to be cutting everything from moss agates, chalcedony, to a gorgeous agate nodule. Some turn out to be ones that are enjoyable to look at..some turn out to be duds..but some turn out to be the kind of cuts only a amateur like myself can dream of.. THEY ARE INSANE!!! I am extremely excited to share this video with you and look forward to your comments below!

I needed a saw to cut stone tiles for a backsplash. ru-vid.comUgkxfiuHoZJo3bgdVPFRxQ-iqPpfbEHl2cYt I thought for sure I was going to need to buy a "better" blade than the one that came with this machine. I was surprised to see that blade worked great. Buying this saw was cheaper than renting and allowed me to take my time on the project. I wrapped the tiles (front and back) with blue painters tape and drew my cut lines with a sharpie on the tape. I performed all of my cuts free hand and had no trouble cutting the tile straight. There is a guide you can use to help with cuts if you prefer. This was my first tile job and this saw made it easy.

A BABY!!!!!!! Congratulations from Logan & me! Great reveals today! We gasped at the hidden water level agate! You should cut the last one in a few slabs. It was very pretty. Maybe another cut will reveal more of the bands? It’s seriously like Christmas waiting to see the insides.

That moss Agate is Gorgeous - what a find! That Quartz nodule is pretty, too! I have the same saw as you, and I love it, but I wish I had sprung for the 10". We have some nice plume agates here in California, and I just found a fantastic chunk I'm going to cut this weekend. I love the excitement and the ultimate reveal of cutting them.

I've always found the Quarzite is sometimes my favorite. I'm no Rockhound (yet), but since I was a kid, I've always filled my pockets with rocks when I'm outside, and I've always loved the simple beauty of the types of rocks that are "common." The fact that God has surrounded us with little pockets of His glory in simple rocks is just astounding to me. I hope one day to find bigger agates like that and cut them open! It be so cool. I live in Colorado, which I guess is a pretty good place for Rockhounding.

Oh my gosh! That Moss agate at 10:00 is just crazy! That would make some insane cabochons! Man, that lake superior agate is just too cool! It's so interesting to see how different the material you have is compared to what I find in my neck of the woods. Would love to make it out there to do some hounding sometime! The first cut...it's an art..play with the stone..see if it talks to you...what's the best option..then move to the side alittle..for grinding an polishing losses..if it might be cracked threw do you go at 90° to the flaw..or cut close an parallel...many small details do matter.. be safe...and if things go bad plz show the film...oh rocks and saws can be hard on a gold ring...

Get a dremel diamond barrel tips .shape and grind the nodual it will make a cool mushroom top for minatuure fairy landscapes glue some plastic backs on the ones ya want to make some small slabs for cabs outta.

I use a king diamond 7in continuous blade. Mine do take a while to cut, it looks quick when I fast forward it though lol im sure you knew that though!

Those are all nice! I love the colors and bandings that can be unmasked thru cutting. Question for you. What blade do you use in your wet saw? I have tried a couple different ones but on the harder stones, agates and jaspers mohs 7, they dont last long. Much appriciated.

My absolute favorite was cut number four , also I have to say without a doubt that your videos and channel have just gotten better with each new one you upload and it wouldn't surprise me if you hit 100,000 subscribers before Christmas this year Taylor . Ok. I’m gonna plan a road trip for rockhounding at Lake Superior. As soon as I can. The agates are lovely. Even that worn piece has a subtle beauty and is worth polishing the face. You could tumble it. The exposed agates are amazing.

Agate Dad just need to plan out the trip and camping. It’s about a 15 hour drive so will need at least one or two stopping points. Planning it out soon.

Put a smile on my face at the beginning of the video . Kept it there all the way through. Remember the morning ,and the evening was the first day.A 24 hour day. Watch Is Genesis History on RU-vid. Christian Scientist giving you a Christian view concerning the Earth and it's creator. Blessings for the new baby for it is a blessing to have them .
