I’m glad I can help. It’s an amazing chair!!! I still use it on a daily basis. It’s about 6 years old and it’s still like new. Haven’t felt the need to get a new one. Best chair I ever had!
Love em, I'm into my third Ti-Lite in the last 20 years and they are great chairs. I have two sets of Spinergy wheels so I don't have to replace them when I get a new chair, they make a heck of a difference when dismantling to load into my car. I also have the Jay Z Hybrid cushion (a good investment). The regular RoHo throughs my balance off but the Hybrid gives me good support around the RoHo nipples. Enjoy, great chair. You mentioned the power assist, you may want to take a peak at the Batec hand-bike add on. Great assist for long distance wheels in nature.
THE CHARIOT VII thanks and you should definitely do a video like this. I don’t know why but I love videos of peoples wheelchairs. Lol see how they do theirs and get some ideas.
JoeOnWheels For sure me too! Really helps to see other chairs. I will do one soon. I have a TR3... and am going to order a new one soon. I was thinking I would do a video going through an order form too.
yeah i bought the aero Z series 2 back in 2012. and it has beeen an awesome wheeolchair,, it did break earlier this year and im getting a aero T..its in process of being built starting monday.... but the aero Z was a great wheelchair, it did loose its rigidity though because when i had it i was living up northand it going in and out of extreme temperatures did age it faster.... but now im back in the south witha more steady and temperate climate so i expectthe aero T to last me like 8 years or more, especially since i ordered the heavy duty frame since i am in a physcal labor job and i likea very stiff rigid frame ;-)
It depends on what your needs are. The chair I reviewed in this video is a great one. But it doesn’t fold very well. So if you need a folding chair there are tons of great options too. It just depends.
spinergy wheels are slightly heavier but god they ride so smooth and are responsive and te pus side to slightly heavy is they spin so freely and roll fora long time
Dear Joe, How do you back into the wheel chair without tripping on the foot rest ... I had to take my foot rests off the cheap hospital wheelchair because they got in the way ... If I buy the chair you have now ... will I have a problem backing into the chair to sit down ... I have never watched people sitting down ... how do they do it with the foot rests in the way ? Respectfully submitted, Peter
It's different for everyone, you may just need swing away footplates. Those hospital wheelchair footplates stick out way to far anyway. They're no good.
j Rod same here! Lol. What’s crazy is my chair is 5 years old now and I can technically get another one if I wanted. But this chair is still so good I see no reason to. It’s so good!
Hey Pedro, just so you know I posted a video about the Smart Drive, it's mostly how to put it onto the wheelchair and explaining the buttons, but I'll do an actual video of me using it sometime in the future.
I live in ireland i wonder where i could get one of these? Tbh my chair is a piece of shit i also have a power chair but i want to move around more and use my muscles ..ps i have muscular dystrophy too we are very similar you like eminem? And u play xbox and u appear to have an ireland flag on your wall please reply thanks for uploading this
Ben Convery Whats up Ben? What kind of MD do you have? Do you exercise? Don't mean to get too personal but I always enjoy talking to other people with MD to find out how their muscles are doing. My insurance paid for this chair. I'm not too sure how it works in Australia, I'm sure it's pretty similar, just do to your doctor and have him write a prescription and then you take it to your nearest wheelchair vendor and they will take your measurements, send it to the insurance and the insurance will hopefully cover it then they will have Tilite build the chair and send it to you :)
+Javier Pimentel Hey, Javier! I'm sorry I'm not really sure how it works in Mexico, but I assume the process is similar as it is here. So what you do is call a wheelchair supplier in your area and let them know you're interested in getting a new wheelchair. They will ask for your insurance information, then after that you go to a doctor and have him or her fill out a new prescription for a wheelchair. Then you bring that to the wheelchair supplier, then you will be measured for the wheelchair and talk about what kind of wheelchair you want and what features it will have. After that the wheelchair will be ordered and you will receive it. I hope this helps!!!
I have the Aero Z, 1st series. Just wondered if you have tried using the FreeWheel with that footplate. If you don't know, the FreeWheel clamps to your footplate and raises your front casters, allowing you to go over rougher surfaces. www.gofreewheel.com/
Adam Huizenga hey, Adam I’m so sorry for the late reply. I actually have never used it, however I’ve always wanted to try it. I will definitely look further into it and if I do buy it I’ll let you know how it goes with my chair.
Jean-Claude Kiener sorry about that! I’m actually planning to make a 5 year update because I’ve had the chair for 5 years now. I’ll be sure to have the camera farther away
I would like that wheelchair but I'm not afford that I'm a poor boy come from the poor family, I'm Apolinario Albaciete from purok nilo, maranding, lala, lanao Del norte. Philippines
Hi Jonathan, It was the Fixed footplate and fell apart. It is also Rivitted on so that means cutting off the old rivets and replace. The Back folding bar fell off . The Back came apart several times too and the Customer Service is dreadful. They tried to blame my environment for a Rubbish Chair. The front wheels literally fell apart in a couple of months. To be fair there were two good things about this chair .... My Spinnergy wheels
