Your information was very precise and useful to me. I wasn’t caring for mine properly , and I didn’t realize it till seeing your video. I didn’t feed mine ever , put them out in too strong sunlight , and wasn’t watering enough. I’ve had my xerographica for years now and it has barely grown/: Poor guy has survived despite my ignorance. But I have now given it a shady , breezy home , and started feeding it with foliar feed. I hope to see mine looking as good as yours🤞🤞

They say don’t use distilled at all. But I use my tap water and she is thriving! ❤️

Would it not be easier to use a bigger bowl and more water and totally submerge it for a while?

Yes, if that’s what I had on hand. Do what you can with what you have. I also have a limited amount of water because it’s rain water and I have a lot of plants that use it. You have to style your technique as you see fit. We all have reasons for our methods.

The rain water is probably why yours has grown so beautifully. Just a gorgeous plant.@@gardenair700

Can you tell me how to propagate it and should I cut off the roots that grow or is it a sign it, the plant, wants to attach to something?

These guys will sometimes make little pups down at the base and then once they’re large enough, you separate them. I have never tried growing them from cuttings, but have read that you can. I don’t know how well it would work. Don’t cut the roots, let them grow… it’s how the plant wants to anchor itself.

My last one just fell apart one day and I don’t know what I did wrong. I have a new one that size and I will be more careful when I soak my plant. Wish me luck!

Distilled water is empty that’s why I don’t use it

Turn the plant upside down then sit it right side up, spooning not the best way to get water.❤

why didn't you put it upside down into the water? seems like it would be more effective.

Only because it’s large and I don’t want to damage the timy growth on the top.

It just gets every part of the plant wet. Do What works for you and I do what works for me….

You can use your finger She just try to be "expert"... That's all. Nothing else behind her. Chaos...

It doesn’t take an expert to just use a spoon. I don’t understand the unnecessary comments.
