I just got a used Cub Cadet RT65 Tiller and tried it out. It wasn't doing well, then I came in and watched this video, and Immediately I realized what I was doing, the same thing your husband did. Thank you, thank you!

Very nice tiller . If you want to save room in the garden . Plant potato’s in old tires . Put wood on the ground and put 2 tires on top of each other . Put your soil in them and plant the potato eye . When it starts growing , put a 3rd tire and more dirt . The potato will grow and when it’s time to dig the potato’s , all you do is take the tires down and get your potato’s . No digging !! There are videos on RU-vid on this . It works great . Mulch the leaves and put in your garden great fertilizer and a little lime .

Get some of that leaf matter tilled back into that soil, it will help aerate it and add organic mater to the soil. That will help with root development and bring earthworms to the soil, which will help the soil also. Wouldn’t hurt a bit to get a soil test done so you know what the soil needs to be amended with. Gotta love a rear tine tiller ! Plant it High….it won’t die. Plant it low…..it won’t grow. Happy gardening 👍👏😎

Tried to make a comment last night but wouldn't go through. Those are really good tillers I just have a different brand. Try mixing some good horse manure in your garden it will make some really good soil. It will need tiled up a few times to get all the lumps out and to make it a little deeper.
