Let's not pretend it's a matter of "faith". "Seeking to be faithful to what the Bible teaches" would mean loving people as your brothers and sisters, as Blackford rightly points out. There are people of all political persuasions who claim to be Christian, therefore your political views are largely unrelated to your "faith". If Forbes and Farron claim that a homophobic attitude towards marriage is "Christian", then they are also saying that those Christians who support gay marriage are not true Christians, as they don't follow "the teachings of the Bible"! You will interpret your "faith" in whatever way most aligns with your political beliefs, not the other way round. Relying on euphemisms ("what the Bible teaches") to avoid openly stating your homophobia is cowardly. Hiding behind your claimed "faith" to spread homophobic propaganda is cowardly! Also, if you are an M(S)P and you vote based on your supposedly "personal" beliefs, then you are literally forcing them on the rest of us! Shame on you! Self-obsessed ghouls like Farron and Forbes betray the good name of Jesus Christ. "If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person's religion is worthless."
