I did 6 sessions in a clinic earlier this year and it was like 10 years of therapy every time. I remembered childhood trauma without being re-traumatized, met my inner child, and had major breakthroughs that are still a huge part of my life today. I’m so thankful that this treatment and others like it are being explored for mental health and mood disorders

That is good to hear / for me I’ve been on every anti depressant medication there is for 25 years now and I’ve come to face it that none of them work- Prozac, Wellbutrin, Duloxatine, Effexor,serequel , pristique, all of them combined with clonepin ect for severe depressive disorder and anxiety, I just think that they are all the same, they work on increasing serotonin and norepinephrine in the brain. I’ve also tried what they used to call shock treatment but of course it’s not shock treatment but another way to stimulate these chemicals in the brain. I was just wondering how does ketamine a drug that is used to sedate horses ect in the Veterinarian field how does it work for depression? And of course I would assume there are short term side effects to it such as forgetfulness and a feeling of being stoned for lack of a better word, how does it work for depression long term? And if so will this be the breakthrough treatment that we are all looking for?

I've done 10+ IV sessions, all done in a private room with a zero gravity chair. Once hooked up to IMED machine, the tech puts eye shades on, and earphones with very cool guitar music. The eye shades, as was told to me, so the patient doesnt fixate on any one thing in the room. So basically to get into your own head. I resorted to ketamine IV therapy for pain management; I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia 15yrs ago and was taking the highest dose vicodin (10.5mg) four times/day with tramadol 3x/day for breakthru pain. Ketamine has been miraculous in my case. For the first time in 15yrs I was able to sit back in my desk chair without any shoulder pain. It has also helped with my depression. Thank God for ketamine!!

I was having a hard time coping after my son died in 2016, and I did several session of ketamine and think it helped me over the hump and there was no delayed grief or rebound. Of course, I was still grieving as I needed to, but I could also function and be there for my other son. I did not watch any videos. I was in a pretty dark room by myself and that was how I wanted it. The doctor came in for a few questions at the end, but I never had much to say. It wasn't any kind of breakthrough, but seemed to be gently therapeutic.

LSD and mushrooms completely changed my whole outlook on life. I became a better version of myself This experience gave me a lot of confidence about my self and my body. A bunch of bad thought / behavior patterns were broken. One of these was pretty bad OCD that made me wash my hands a lot. It gave me a lot of hope that things will be fine, this is the one thing that I heard throughout the trip: Everything is alright. The main reason for the trip was my severe depression and it definitely helped me (although it's not gone). Before all I could do was lay in bed. Now I am trying to rebuild my life one step at a time which wasn't possible before."

When I was 23 I studied the works of John C lilly. I became obsessed with having ketamine and going deep down the K hole. That moment came. My friend got some ketamine from India, it came diluted in rose water, which we had to cook down until just the powder was left. It took me 3 attempts to get down the k hole as everytime the moment came, I freaked out and stopped it. When you reach that moment it's like one of the old style Tvs being turned off in your 3rd eye. Like your just about to shut down and basically die! The 3rd time I think the dose was more suited and I let go and woke up without a body in a dark place. I was just a thought. I wasn't scared. I didn't know where I was, but I knew where I came from. In this dark place I soon became aware that I had a knowing. So I asked myself a question that I knew I didn't know the answer to. Boom💥 the answer came in a flash. It was like I was in some sort of gothic library in the almost pitch black, whilst also feeling like the inside of a computer. I kept asking questions and the answers came in a flash. After a while I realised there was only one thing to ask.... What is life!? What is the universe!? 💥🌈 This dark place exploded into light! I could see everything that I asked in front of me. The answer came visually, through sound, telepathically and every other way possible. At that point I fully understood life, death and the universe. I remember feeling so much love and understanding, I was laughing. With all the excitement my ego kicked in somehow, and I thought?? ...... Einstein! Who's he?! 😂 I need to get back and tell the world! I forced myself back into my body. It was like there was a thin chord leading back to my body. I slowly came back and forced my self back, being sick and crying whilst the information was leaving me, as I guess my mind couldn't hold it. But it didn't really matter about the details cause I remember clearly what I explained above. My experience showed me life is amazing and death doesn't really exist. After all... I was shown it, and laughed with joy and disbelief. Thanks for reading if you got this far. This is the first time I've wrote about it online 🙏🏻

@hopew6979
@hopew6979 Год назад
If tradition medications don't work for you, you really should try ketamine. Do a google search to see if there are any clinics in your area. While each clinic may have their own treatment standards, it's usually follows the following protocol: 6 treatments in a 2 week period and then 1xmonth maintenance treatments as needed. The maintenance frequency depends on your needs and how well you respond to the initial 6 treatments. Some people go back for 1xmonth "top ups", others may need more or less frequently. The maintenance period is up to a year but you may not need many follow up treatments so it could be a lot less than a year.

Had about 8 sessions at a clinic with IV. 100ml dose. Very expensive, out of reach for most people, a big issue there. I was made to lie on a reclining armchair with a big blanket covering me. Then I had headphones playing ambient music and wore an eye mask. So really it’s an attempt at being able to disassociate easily when administering a dissociative drug! I’ve continued with this at home, very cheap to buy but can get you locked up if not careful. 100mg up the nose, that can literally have you on the couch in a few minutes so you need to have everything already planned. Tibetan bells / bowls are seriously freaky, I found each second of sound becomes a 1000 nanoseconds each it’s own second, the detail is surreal - anything auditory really takes you on that trip. With no external visual distractions due to the eye mask anything you see is based on your imagination, I’ve seen galaxies and roller coasters of light, unlike any other drug I’ve taken except for lsd but that was decades ago with memory lacking. Psilocybin is far milder than ketamine. I’m doing the ketamine, psilocybin, mdma thing as anti depressants never worked for me and I tried them all, plus you don’t feel on them so I didn’t process trauma effectively in or out of therapy.

Has ketamine been considered for migraine treatment? Half rhetorical question..... I suffer from severe depression and chronic migraine. Many years ago I was sent to the ER by my neurologist during a 4 day migraine. Most interestingly, the ER doc gave me an iv cocktail of morphine/ketamine and anti nausea drug. I only know because the effects were so significant I had to know. I knew nothing about ketamine whatsoever so I will never forget the experience ever! 1st thing I had to go to McDonald's and order stuff I would never eat. My migraines were significantly reduced. My depression was significantly reduced and I probably never felt so good for so many months! It all is making sense now!! I am actually in a bit of shock that this had such a huge impact AND that a random ER doctor just came up with this "cocktail "!! I wish I knew who this doctor was and I am 100% fascinated of all the possible applications! Considering this was close to 20 years ago I think I need ketamine. Have no idea where or who to go to.... Any resources would be wonderfully appreciated!!!! Anyone please!

I have a close family member with BPD and these alternatives treatments are interesting. With Ketamine Im struggling to see the difference between using that and any other euphoria inducing substance (IV morphine for example). If you induce IV opiates to a person it's going to produce euphoria which may make difficult therapy sessions easy to talk through. If the only difference between my example and ketamine is a better side effect profile then I would really lose my excitement for this treatment
@DawidEstishort
@DawidEstishort 11 месяцев назад
The difference is huge. Euphoria is not a thing that makes psychedelics and dissociatives work. On the contrary many experiences might be very difficult (less so with dissociatives). A person on opioids might talk about something difficult in a therapy session, but it's useless because they're not actually facing the trauma or other difficulty. They're simply numb to the emotional pain. On psychedelics/dissociatives you can face those problems while being more emotionally resilient and looking at those issues in a often profoundly different way. Psychedelics also tend to amplify the emotions, while dissociatives tend to well... dissociate you from things and make you look at them in a more neutral way while still feeling their importance. That's of course when we're talking about their proper clinical or spiritual use and not recreational use.

That's the thing with video or images. Everybody interprets them diffently. So you can trigger a trauma with the most beautifull beach xD kinda stupid to show patients images or videos in a ketamine threatment.
