A 56 year old whose Defence Counsel described as a ‘Walter Mitty’ character has been sent off to jail on an 11 year sentence after a court heard he flew 8 million euro of cocaine into Ireland.
Waterford man Tim Gilchrist Jnr was a passenger on a Cessna aircraft that flew from France to Longford nearly two years ago loaded with the cocaine.

Its unbelievable that you can't land a wild salmon in Ireland without observation from Fishery Officers using drones & patrols but its OK to land tons of coke.

Why is it that Ireland is described as a gateway to Europe in terms of drugs trafficking, yet many drugs busts are of people bringing drugs into Ireland from Europe??

It is because of her location. West of Europe. Drugs coming from the Americas.

Who owns the airport? Can you clerify, you touched on weston airport so can you mention who owns the airport in longford , it feels very strange 🤔 , anywho was the 5kg every found from the garda station in the south east ??? Who was behind the boat load in cork ???
