Hi Tim and Mario! I was just on a cruise and by the end of the cruise I lost all use of my arms and legs. I think my you tube some how is under my grandson but I am a 67 year old women. I have been watching you guys for ever but since I have been in the hospital for 4 days, have been watching you nonstop for hours! I haven’t been able to sleep so I have watched things I have already watched over the years! Thank you so much for your years of you tube videos! We have been in our house in Utah for 5 years but my Tim holtz stash has been in storage. I had my husband put all my stash on my bed. Even my bigamist dies they are very heavy!!! I have got some of my arm’s back but I can dream right!! I also unfortunately for my husband I can use my fingers and I have been buying new stuff from anywhere I can find it! As long as I can dream I will be okay 👍
I am married to a retired fire chief and have two firefighter sons. From the condition of some of their gear, you could not be more spot-on with scorched timber. The color itself is perfectly "burnt" but when you add the water and "aged" look, the blends are exactly what I find on the clothing and equipment. Awesome note to finish your pallette. Love you, Mario, and all the things you have done for crafting over the years. Here's to many more!
Ooh I can't wait to play! Looking forward to getting mine. Awesome final Distress colour Tim! Thanks for the awesome step through this gorgeous new colour! Yay Ranger for all the extras they've done with this release, will be great to have the pencil too xoxo
Wow! Was so excited to see this color… Living in an old farmhouse and having our own remodeling business for 25+ years we save a lot of wood. So my husband replaced our kitchen countertops using 1x4 pieces and scorched them with a blowtorch… my countertops have the colors of your inks in the -Gathered Twigs- Walnut Stain- Ground Espresso- Scorched Timber! I thought was pretty amazing…lol. Congratulations for your 20yrs of 72 colors!!!🎉 and all involved 🖤🤎
Congratulations on 20 years to the man who changed this industry and the creative world!! Thank you for all you've done and continue to do to encourage our creativity! Here's to 20 more years - wishing you health, happiness and more creative genius! 💜
Have been stamping for almost thirty years. Some very rudimentary cards over the years. I have been looking tomup my game in the past few years. Distress Oxides was the game changer for me. I have many more of your products and all are amazing. You are a true master. Card making is my Zen place and I thank you for changing the industry! Congratulations on 20 years! Love the new color and cannot wait to see where’re you take us next.
Congratulations Tim and Mario on 20 years of the brilliant distress mediums, and on completing the palette of colours with this amazing dark warm brown. I'm a mixed media artist and also a jewellery maker and have been using all of the distress mediums in my wok for as long as they have been around even the seasonal editions. I have to say my two absolute favourites are the distress paints and the distress watercolour pencils, the pencils are really inspired and have become a staple in my artworks and jewellery. The products definitly earned all their awards as they are so unique. Can't wait to see what else you both bring us in 2024,but congratulations to you both on this fantastic milestone and for a completed collection of amazing colours. (matt)
Thanks so much for the little history lesson in the beginning of the video...quite interesting! Scorched timber is a must to add to my collection of distress inks. I love all the Ranger products, they are the BEST!! Your inks are so fun to use.🥰
Yay to 20 years of Distress! Congratulations! I've been there buying them and using them since 2004 and can remember the hype surrounding them from the beginning. I know you say this is the "last color", but if I'm following the trend from your little history lesson, what I'm gathering is we need to sit tight for 5 years for you and Ranger to get an itch to add a few new colors. 😉 I am beyond thrilled to have these 12 newest colors but, I can't help feeling like I am still missing a handful. The top color on my wish list for the past decade has been a true (pastel) sky blue for the hundreds of scene-style cards I create. I often have to use non-distress inks when I get tired of the same tumbled glass sky over and over again. I will hold a little sliver of hope you will have a change of heart and offer it someday... 🙏🙏🙏
I can’t believe it’s been 20 years! I was an early adopter of Distress Inks-i was all about the grunge and vintage and your artistry was a huge influence. I loved the original browns/black but i agree smoked timber is a perfect addition to complete the palette. This sort of dark brown/off black hue has been my fave go to color in general for years. To now have it in distress ink is a dream! ❤
I absolutely LOVE this color. Thank you Tim, Mario, Ranger, and all the makers for such an amazing palette. I can't wait to get my hands on this new color.
I LOVE YOUR STUFF, I remember when you were on Carol Craft show. You where so young, I missed her and knew you were going to be a good crafter. CONGRATULATIONS 🎊 TIM❤ YOUR CRAFTS
Congratulations Tim on 20 years of Distress., and Thank you for inspiring us. The Timeline history was very interesting, so glad you shared that with us. All the products you have created are fabulous. I look forward to seeing your future endeavours. Also Mario is a great support to you in the background and I just wanted to say -- Mario thank you for your input too, so funny when you mentioned Tim’s name in Scorched TIMber. Hello from Australia
Thank you, Tim, for over 20 years of creative fun! I used to watch you on the Carol Duval Show way back when! Taking this inky journey has been such a pleasure! I am excited to get the last four colors! Congratulations on 20 years of Distress! It went by so fast! ❤❤
I’ve been card making since 1999 but didn’t discover you or Distress until 2010. I have all the mini pads and bout half the oxides and sprays. In 2011 I started die cutting too. I love your colorize dies!! Wasn’t into your tins at first but now have them for pads, sprays, alcohol inks, glitter, etc. love your glass mats, stamp platforms, cutting platforms and many other tools. I now have a complete room FULL of wonderful craft tools n supplies!!! I now do ideology items as well. You are a GREAT designer. I have advanced soooo much over the years. Thoroughly enjoy getting inky making backgrounds!! Thanks so much to both you and Mario for teaching me how to do my style!! You get what you get and don’t throw a few. Many of my disliked backgrounds made great leaves for my fall cards.
I am new to all things distress (2022) and I am having so much fun. Thank you for all the inspiration. Congratulations on 20 years, sit up tall in your chair, as you reflect on these AMAZING accomplishments. I look forward to the next chapter and learning more from your inspiration and the talented makers. Thank you to Mario for being the true champion in your distress corner. You both make the world a better place. Love you both!
Finally got around to watching the reveal. This color is everything I dreamed of. I can’t wait to get my order. It looks so magical. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you Tim. I loved watching the history of distress. I remember when one of my Scrapbooking friends first brought walnut stain to a crop. She was doing grungy stuff way back then. Look at us all now. You have transformed the crafting world. ❤ this stuff.
Scorched Timber is such a brilliant name, definitely a winner for the brown family!! Many thanks to you & Mario for always introducing incredible products!!
I do love your inks, ideas and inspiration and ...every time I see you use a new product I instantly want to play with it ! Congratulations on your fantastic achievements 😄
Thanks for pushing the creative boundaries, which sparked new techniques and ideas. Scrapbooking, card making and mixed-media would not be the same without distress. Happenstance may be my new favourite word.
And what a Wonderful 20 Years it has been (even if I did not get in until the last five) lol. You opened my whole world to coloring / mix media and I love it. Congrats. This may be the end to adding new colors, but it is also the beginning to something new. Love Ya❤❤❤
Congratulations Tim, Mario and the crew at Ranger!!! I have really loved these colors and products. It has brought so much joy and creativity to many lives! Thank you so much!!!
So happy for you and Ranger. I came across you abt 10 years ago and I learned so many techniques and had so much fun watching you. You are the rainbow to my crafting journey. Your was the first sets of mini inks I ever purchased and are one of my favorite brands. Congratulations
20 years of magical colors and endless inspiration. Amazing achievement Tim Holtz! Thank you for taking us down memory lane for those of us who don't go quite that far back. Began scrapping in 2010 and bought my first inks around 2015 I think. So interesting how all of it came about.
Wow! I just ADORE Scorched Timber! Thankyou so much Tim for the last 20 years of amazing inspiration! Would love to have seen you in a fireman’s uniform Mario! Congratulations to you both, much love 😊❤️🇦🇺xxx
