Thanks guys. I’m a 50 year old fireman dealing with a spinal injury and I needed to hear this tonight. I’m going for a ruck right now, even though I have to use a walker to walk
You sound like me... I trained horses for years and showed... And I am struggling with my spine and legs... My legs don't want to work all that hot shit right now... ❤ Hope u find out what's happening with you!!!!
When Tim said “Every time motivation fails you, discipline and routine will save you.” 🔥 had to pause right that down and think a little. Always taking away great energy and insight from this awesome content.
AATW, love this thank you both of you. I enjoy these sit downs, and it's real. It's what we need as vets and we need ppl like yourself to talk about it.
I have a privilege to meat Tim once when his CIF team replaced mine (C 1/10) in summer 2008 in Baghdad. I am retiring this year. Love how you talk about the SF. Great podcast, Thank you.
Looking down at my gut, thinking about my low levels of energy. Tim Kennedy just called me out. Looks like I need to go to the gym, get right with God and be a better man. Thank you, I really needed to hear that.
Such a great podcast! Always grateful to listen to y’all! Don’t stop and keep giving us little nuggets and reasons to Press On, Tim and Evan! Thank you for what you have done, who you are and what you do. Never Quit!
I have separate saved playlists for both EVAN and TIM. I'm 50 YO so I think I am older than both of them but it's never too late to learn and apply a different perspective. I left the ARMY in 95 and moved on to computer science education and career. All my clocks are still MIL time and I get up early on the weekends. Its easy to lose some of the old knowledge and discpline as you get distant from MIL life. But some of the old disciplines still have value today even in the CIV world. Never forget who you are.
The funniest thing you've ever said about Tim is "that army karate guy". It makes me laugh everytime. Its like calling Rembrandt "That weird guy that doodles on napkins"
@Thebluesky0311 which shawn is well aware of, so naturally he will avoid all popular topics. Bro Joe just had on kat. Kat has been mega famous for 20 years. He didn't talk about the obvious shit!
Yo Evan and Tim! Thanks for all you guys do for our community and our young Americans. I was deployed to Iraq in 04 with the Natty Guard 68W. We done our best to keep you guys patched up so yall could continue the beat downs yall dished out!! Love you guys hooah🫡🇺🇸🫡🇺🇸🫡🇺🇸
Great conversation. I love the bit where Hafer calls an emotionally.recalcitrant family "fairly competent stoics'. Thats a real positive take. Thankyou both for a v enlightened and v honest inspiring chat. All the very best to you both from Shenfield England... Across the pond
Ive been shooting archery for 28 years. Started with a 15 lb long bow that a pastor made for me, went into the weeds of compound now im back going after white tail with a recurve one month out of the season. Once the leaves fall im back in the deerstand with the compound. That first month is so good though whether or not i make a kill or not. You will learn more from stalk hunting timber traditional than you will with years of sitting in a tree but filling the freezer is nice
Tim’s book was cool you love him and hate him in the same book lol. He does his own reading as well and seems like a real cool guy sometimes. When he tells you all his faults like a brave man would along with his achievements Great read or listen.
The thing i don’t understand is how is “SF” having trouble recruiting. I got out in 2014 and we had 5 or 6 studs that were begging to go to selection including myself. And we were told no, we are going to the field. TO LITERALLY drive broken Bradley’s around and not even train. Its insane to me because there are kids who would die for the 18x selection. IDK if they are handing it out like candy now. But i remember checking over a period of 4 years before i enlisted and it was never available.
Lemme give you a secret. When terms of re-upping, you should find a NG recruiter and pick 18X. Then when you finish selection, at 19th or 20th. You then ask to go active, and depending on language you'll end up somewhere cool..
Evan, I think you should get good at estimating yardage. I starting shooting a bow at 11 (I’m 28) range finders weren’t prevalent and I couldn’t afford one until I was 22. My first bow kill was the first big game animal I’d ever even shot at with a bow , I was 18 and I estimated the yardage at 40, drew back and double lunged a good doe. It’s an amazing feeling to know everything you just did was a direct result of your hunting ability and skill with your weapon. Some could and will argue it’s unethical to shoot without knowing the precise yardage, if you think that’s unethical, you’re just not good enough and the skill of archery yet. Let place a little magic back in the hunt.
Why should they join when quite clearly it's all about enriching the elites or social engineering.serving today has nothing to do with protecting our country. It's all about a goal for the elites or the secret team running this world
I remember being in basic training at Fort Benning on a company run and the this group of badass MFs with PTs and black hats ran through the middle of our formation and pushed our dudes out of the way. I gained ultimate respect for the special forces even though I already respected them because of stories and movies. 😂
Last week a 20 year Army active duty officer who just got promoted to Lt. Col told me he didn't know what BJJ was, and he wasn't even familiar with combatives... HOW THE EFF IS THAT POSSIBLE? I'm so confused ...
I fuckin love all these dudes. People American as their friend group should be role models for every child in America today. I wish I chose role models half as bad ass as them instead of the degenerate dog shit Hollywood put in front of my face as a kid.
Even your OCD. I get I'm the same way highly competitive you dig into something how it works. It drives you crazy until you figure it out. Yeah I'm the same way.
He’s 18 and 6 man. He had great win streaks until the end of his career. He never had back-to-back losses until his last 2 fights. He defeated some heavy hitters and was inducted into the International Sports Hall of Fame. He was undoubtedly a good fighter and a better fighter than you or I. He may not be GOAT status but he was fighting in a time where the Middleweight Division was pretty stacked and he held his own.
In my opinion, you don't want a hair trigger. Release for bow and arrow hunting dude, that's not a good idea. It's just my opinion, bro. You don't need a hair trigger. You just don't need that. If you do you're doing something wrong
Evan I have a small funny gift for you how would I sent it to you, I understand it would have to be screened first as there are crazy people out there and you do not know me from Adam.
I got accused of corporate espionage at a local roaster in Portland for wearing a black rifle sweater and black rifle patch on a beanie. Thankfully we are only vacationing here because these people are wild. Of course ima represent the brand (hire me and I’ll go back and fight those roasters for you guys).
It dumb to shoot long range targets with all the tech behind it. Literally if guys are becoming long range shooters now it's kinda bs. What is going to happen when we just need guys to go out with a scoped 308 and nothing else.
I'm good at shooting anything, I challenge anyone, and I don't own a bow,and the Martin fury bowl that I used to own was ninety five pound test, and I lived it,but it was load, but, faster than any Mathews,or Bear, that was out in 2002. I bet I can group em up still at 75 yards, with no wind
I actually never knew about black rifle coffee until I saw all the people storming the capitol on January 6th wearing their shirts. Seems like a well adjusted customer base with solid critical thinking skills.
Emergency please read this. Cleatus McFarland or Garrett Mitchell, is his real name at the freedom factory? Doesn't race with all The Crown Victoria's. The forward cars x cop cars. So, you know a lot of veterans that need some kind of a release to feel better. I see no reason why you can't ask him. To help you put on a race with veterans Only but open to the public to watch this for a fundraiser of your choice. I mean, a fundraiser to go to whatever organization you choose is what I'm trying to say. Please respond and let me know what you think. Am I a retard for thinking this is a good idea
NO!! Tim Kennedy once made a 4 second statement on gun control during an interview with Lance Armstrong which negates all of his 2A personal and professional endeavors in both the military and civilian worlds across the past decade. DERP de DERP DERP DERP! DEEERRRRRRPP!!
