It's one of the sweetest songs: "There are 8 billion people on Earth, they could ALL have been the one I fell in love with, but I fell in love with you, and I'm loving every moment of it".
It's definitely not sexist but pure genius. How the hell he remembers all the words flawlessly all the time is why he's one of my favourite comedians. Total legend 🤣🤣👌
At the end of this special, he thanks Sarah in the credits & says she's on "the far right-hand side of the bell curve', meaning she's the rarest & best of all.
@@bararobberbaron859 That's a very different song with a very different context. I mean... do you listen to lyrics? Or do you just spend your time wallowing in self-satisfaction?
a lot look like somewhat in sync, but then just have an insanely fast reaction to the jokes, some others she just straight up laughs simultaneously to the punchline, or even before.
I love that you notice and appreciate him being barefoot - I saw him live for the second time recently and was so disappointed that he was wearing shoes this time 😂
I first heard this song waaaay back after a long relationship was ending. It actually brought me a ton of comfort. Like I thought they were THE ONE... and Tim very logically pointed out that statistically, there most likely isn't only one... and that surely there is another. I loved seeing your reactions and how much you get his humor. I've played this song for friends and they kind of chuckle, but I don't think they're really getting it. You even googled alopecia... to make sure you didn't miss a joke!
I'm BLESSED that my wife loves this song.... I first met her in 96 when she was 14 and I was 19.... and somewhere around the early 00s she LITERALLY dragged me to her car by the ear cause I was to drunk to drive..... now we got 2 wonderful kiddos and a Happy marriage
Loved it. I would fly to Australia to see this man live if the whole world wasn't imploding, Hopefully one day. More reactions of this treasure of a man.
Whilst a little less manic than a lot of his work, Tim's Guest speech at his former Universities Graduation, entitled "9 Life Lessons" is really awesome, too.
If you think about it, it's quite fantastic that, despite the statistic, Sara and him have such a great connection that they are still together and very happy. Sara is, hands down, a damn Queen 😭😭👑👑
I'm always intrigued when scrubbing through a video's timeline to see where the 'Most replayed' part is. Most of the time, the most replayed part of the video is a funny joke that made people skip back and enjoy the laughter all over again or a profound nugget of knowledge that they half-caught the first time around and needed a second viewing to help grasp what was said... that kind of thing. So, as this video is close to wrapping up, I say to myself, "That was really cool, I'm going to cue up a few other videos to watch before I retire for the evening and go get some sleep", and my mouse pointer hovers over the video timeline just long enough for me to notice a large peak, real close to end of the video. Something really resonated with the many viewers of this video. "I'll be sure to see what that is. I wouldn't want to miss out on it" I say, as I click ahead a little. Oh... I see. "Shame on you people!" I utter... as I click the beginning of that section again. You know, to be absolutely certain that there wasn't a joke or a profound nugget of wisdom I was missing out on. Then I reconsider. "Of course!" I proclaim. The people viewing that section again and again just wanted to be absolutely sure they had caught the name of the place where Alice got her outfit. How silly of me - it wasn't for any other reason. Come to think of it, I didn't quite catch the name... I'll go back and watch that part again myself.
If you'd like to listen to some of his more lyrical songs, I recommend "You Grew On Me", "Not Perfect" or "White Wine in the Sun". Idk about you guys but I honestly find "You Grew On Me" romantic.
Absolutely! I'd say it's very worthy of being played at a wedding (at worst, it'll show you who is halfway intelligent and who was a bad idea to invite 🤣)
I love your reactions to Tim! It's like getting to enjoy these songs for the first time, all over again. Keep making your great content! Congrats again on the engagement! 😁
Me and a co worker make very silly observations that are tame, then immediately go dark very quick and it becomes a game of one upping how dark we get....while dying laughing.
Love your Minchin reactions! 😂 It sounds like you are having fun, and that makes us have fun. It's like watching these songs for the first time again, and that's a great feeling!
🤣oh that was hilarious and your laugh is amazing, it makes us laugh more, hope you keep reacting to more of his stuff, I'm sure there's more awesome stuff there, stand up comedians in general make for great reactions
I love watching your reactions your laugh really is infectious. I'm just smiling along like a dork the whole time haha. You should do some reactions to Bo Burnham if you've never seen his stand up!
@@Aliceingingerland ok YT algorithm promotes any channel that has long YT time after watching a video... so center your upload around aprox late USA afternoon. and its time you do x2 posts per week... keep the Bo bump by doing that x1 per week working your way thru his content.... but also do one other React or Ginger vids once a week too... the Gingerland rocket ship has launched so just keep encouraging Shares... and the Subs will keep coming.... YOU ARE THE BEST REACTOR on this platform... work it and it will keep coming 😆
Hey Alice how are ya? Great reaction to Tim, your face when Tim went full on Boyband...brilliant 😂 Tim is absolutely brilliant, how does he remember all the lyrics, the story after the song was very good, until next time Alice take care of yourself and the ones you love ✌💚☘
Thought you’d like to know that Tim Minchin is touring again, saw him live in Nottingham, UK last month and he’s as good as ever. Also, you should really check out and please react to Garfunkel & Oates, a song called Gods Loophole ( ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-j8ZF_R_j0OY.html ) but please check out some of their other work too. Edit: if you do a reaction to that song, you might need a bleep button for the sweary bits.
We had a great trick for getting our kids to stop being naughty. It went like this: "Behave! Or you'll join your brothers and sisters in the garden." "But daddy we don't...." (meaningful look)
This is the kind of romantic talk I invariably end up making. Unfortunately, I don't have Tim's talent or wit, so I ended up single and bitter. So much for statistics
Your beautiful laugh always brightens my day. For something amazingly different and wonderful, you should listen to Tim performing as Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar.
Hello Alice, just found your channel through your reactions to Tim Minchin and I'm loving them. -Since Christmas is coming up next weekend, I really want to suggest the song "White wine in the sun" from Tim Minchin, it's a great song on its own, but also awesome to see another side of Tim's performances.- Edit: Nevermind I just read the comment that you already saw it but you found your reaction too bland... In that case I would like to suggest another bit from another comedian (who also happens to be a ginger...) If you haven't seen it already, I think you would love Bill Burr's "No reason to hit a woman". (on a side note I also hope you'll continue with Tim's work, there are enough gems left there)
zI don't know if anyone else has mentioned, but he's done alot of musical theatre, includes playing Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar. If you want to see him do something more dramatic you could check that out. Or Upright, and single season TV series he made.
