😂Classic Tim. He hasn't actually written comedy for about 10 years. He wrote all the music to Matilda and Groundhog Day the musicals and is also an actor, poet, writer and director. He is very intelligent and very talented. He is also a massive advocate for science and critical thinking. I highly recommend "Storm" - the live stage version.
OMG. It's extremely rare these days that someone watches and listens to the entire song/performance first without interrupting the video and only expresses their opinion after the end. I love it. Please keep this style if you can :) Respectfully bow's head. And please excuse my terrible english.I am From Austira.I don't look like Arnold, but i talk like him ;)
not a request, rather a recommendation: if you want more of his piano skills, go to "dark side" from the same concert, it is "the awesome version" that really IS awesome. It's long but ... the piano part is amazing!
Tim has a number of songs from that concert, all of them are thought provoking. Ginger nuts are a Hard, sweet ginger biscuit that many people (heathens) dunk in tea/coffee to make them soft enough to chew. These are a common and popular biscuit in Australia
Tim is os brilliant, intelligent, funny and very talented pianist! Has many comedy songs and beautiful serious songs. He is a Tony and Olivier Awards winning composer of musicals and a accomplished Broadway and West End and TV actor. Basically has too much talent for a human. Oh and Bo cites Tim as a big influence so the comparison is apt !
Tim has some of the most brilliant comedy set to some remarkable piano playing. Thank You God and the Pope Song highlight his skepticism about religionRock and Roll Nerd is a great piano piece, and even more so, Dark Side (Awesome Version). All this and so much more.
Ya sadly this isn’t common knowledge in the west. But had learned this term from this man. Had to look it up right away. I know gingersnaps are a thing so why not that to.
.. I learned about Tim Minchin when I had been asked to read a question on "Big fat quiz of the year", and he chose to make a song. Spoiler alert the question was what new technology had created a bit of a debate during the year, and the answer to the question was google street view... I absolutely recommend you watch that.. though it is a bit too short to be a real song, it is kind of a parody on the hip-hop genre and plays around very nicely (and humorously) with a lot of the tropes. I personally like f.ex. Bill Bailey.. or even Victor Borge better.. but.. I love those very much, and Tim Minchin IS awesome.
If you loved this, you're going to love his other creations. Just saw Groundhod Day The Musical which he created - it was brilliant. Also saw him on tour with his Unfunny Piano - Highly recommend reviewing something profound from this side of his skill set. Like - "Carry You" or "Airplane" ❤
Making the Bill Bailey connection. Yes..... Can I recommend you listen to Joan Armatrading, often overlooked in the reaction scene but she is a musical power house. Writer, producer, guitarist, singer.... did I mention guitarist?
