I fell in love with this song the first time I heard it. He has a dark sense of humour I just love. I love "Not Perfect" and "White Wine in the Sun".

His new album Apart Together is not comedy, so you could check that. He said he wanted to try something different and took inspiration from being apart from his family during the pandemic. On the older stuff, White Wine in the Sun is pretty serious... and beautiful (can't remember right now if you done that one already).

He has a sharp sense of humour, which, at first it takes a while to get, but he truly is crazy about his wife, and they share the same kind of humour, so, I wouldn't be surprised if she loved this. He chose to sing this song straight, maybe to make it funnier, but I know songs like this were inspired by how much he loves her.

In case this doesn’t translate well: “mole” is Australian slang for an ugly person, usually a girl. So the final line “I guess I never knew how fast a little mole can grow on you” is a play on words using both the metaphor of the girl being melanoma - growing on him and also implying that she is ugly.

It takes everybody a few bars to realize what a beautiful love song this is. I guess it depend on your past experience with Tim and how quickly you discard you erroneous expectation for comedy. It took this guy too long.

Loved this reaction! If you're looking for some serious Tim songs I HIGHLY recommend his newest album "Apart Together." It is definitely some serious content. He wrote a lot of it while separated from his family during the pandemic. All of the songs are incredible, but "I'll Take Lonely Tonight", "Absense of You," and "If This Plane Goes Down" especially are incredibly heartfelt and raw and very real. he played all of those at his live show this year haha really fantastic i also really like Apart Together, how simultaneously tragic and beautiful it is i like how he's able to combine love and decay, Grew On Me always kind of speaks to me in that sense too
