What do you do when your dad is Neal Schon of Journey, one of the greatest guitar players of the modern era? Well, you practice, practice, practice and become a great guitar player in your own right; Miles Schon is just that. A great guitar player with beautiful feel and flowing melodic lines that just melt off the fingerboard. Tim talks to Miles about the joys and hardships of being a young professional guitar player in today's musical landscape.

WHOA! He's got his dad's vibrato down! Great player. I'll keep an eye out for this kid. Great jam.

Excellent maturity and humility - especially given who his father is. What a gentleman and player/coach you are for spotlighting him, Tim!

He is a great blues man. I’m sure he is great at most styles but he has that old soul sound. Can’t wait to see where he goes from here. Thanks for showcasing him Tim.

What a great player! Especially on how he's bending those strings

Dang! At times his phrasing sounds exactly like his dad's. Proves "nature" is as powerful as "nurture". Super humble dude too. Neal must have been a really good dad.

Great interview, Miles is a humble kid but a good guitarrist. Only complaint, you mispelled his father's name, it's Schon not Shon 😀
