@@ابويعرببنبسامالعوادي I've not seen those movies but Shawshank is often at the top of many lists of greatest movies. Hence my comment. It's not about him as an actor but a great actor in the greatest movie.

Fantastic actor, have to admit I haven't seen him in much but his performances in Shawshank and in Mystic River are magnificent.

Watch Bob Roberts. Robbins is excellent in it. And it forshaddows american politics in this century way back in ‘92.

I loved the 2nd season of Castle rock...to see Tim Robbins as pop Merrill going into shawshank to see his brother..it was epic...

my interpretation is being disingenuous leads to more of the same in all places. skill and passion should more commonly link into success. if you love your work, that’s what it should be about and if that’s what people like that’s what should be valued. mistake to think these other things matter so much. shame to think of what we miss out on over the disingenuous sides of life that sometimes eclipse the more real sides.
