Did you never watch the Stern show back in the day when Artie was on H?!? He used to ramble on and on and cut off Howard every other breath just like he did Tim in this video clip.

Artie is waaaay stimulant-hyped up here. We know he was occasionally dosing Adderall, in the old days, when he couldn't get his hands on anything else, and (supposedly) these particular amphetamine salts only show up on urine panels for 2-3 days afterwards. He never did the manic twirling-hands thing on Cumia's show, or with DiPaolo. Not a good sign.
Yeah and you can swallow a few high-milligram pills and experience what's pretty close to a cocaine high for, like, 8-12 hours. From my personal experience, that's a pretty insidious drug. And they give it to kids for chrissake.

Yeah, I think the money works out better considering a 4-5 year 850K at Sirius plus 1-1.5 mil in standup comedy appearances during the same time. But, conversely, the station might have cut Artie free citing a “morality clause” after the first couple of years, the 2007-2008 rehab stints, or he might simply have mouthed off or taken a swing at some exec. Hard to say.
I've heard that story before but never knew it was a guaranteed deal. That is ridiculous, if true. He probably was tempted but also probably knew that Gary would never leave Howard and if they needed both of them for the show, Howard would definitely ditch Artie if he knew he was going to take it Tough spot for Artie
I loved Artie on the Stern show. But this video reminded me why he got on my nerves sometimes. He can’t let anyone else talk! Let someone get a word in sometimes Artie! He cuts off Tim every time he gets into a story. This is exactly what it was like back in the day when Artie was on H on the Stern show. But instead of cutting Tim off, he was cutting off Howard back then. 🤦🏼♂️

Wow this guy leave his old life behind moves his family to new york to work for howard give 1000% His dad get very sick hes in middle of a divorce because of what he sacrificed for howard and he goes to him to ask for a bit of time off to fi ish his divorce and stuff with his dad and howard response is mabey we should just part ways. It just shows his true colors abd shows just how good of people artie and tim ect are as they wouldnt fuck howard over yet u know in a heart beat howard would fuck any of them over. And i bet if the roles were reversed howard would have agreed to replace him for the 5million a year.
Who knows what the present might be if Artie had taken that deal, but from my present vantage point I think he should've taken it, and built a show for himself. Of course, reality was that Artie was probably using on and off again, and it might not have worked out, but I really wish Artie could've gotten something for himself. Real recognition for the talent that he is. Stern regulated him to the drug addled kicking post and treated him like a bit... at least on air from a listener's perspective. Artie is loveable and you want to root for him. Stern is not.

Artie Lang is terrible. As a comedian and as an interviewer. We Finally get to hear why Tim Sebean left the show but instead Artie continues to interrupt. Terrible interview… didn’t learn anything from the 8 years being next to Mr. Howard Stern
I think you’re being unfair, I listened to all the half way house podcasts and yes the did talk over people at times but this was Tim, they were reminiscing about an era and Artie got into it like they were chatting in a bar. I bet he forgot there was a time limit.
He claims it was because he snorted a line that had little bits of a broken bottle in it. But, Artie always snorted his drugs and you can’t drink and drug into your fifties without it catching up with you. I think your septum and the cartilage disintegrates. Praying for him. If he stays sober, I bet they can fix it but if he keeps using he’s done
Why would Howard, who is so rich and so successful, want to deal with a junkie who is causing problems non stop for himself and the show? He cut Artie off for good and Artie cant understand it really. Artie was given FAR too many chjances as is
