That first device is known as the Trammel of Archimedes. This one is just a toy but they got very elaborate for professions that needed to draw custom precise ellipses.
There used to be a couple who sold old fashioned wooden toys at the farm festival near my home. They made toys like the first one, Jacob's ladders and all kinds of fun things. My favorite toy I bought from them is a musical marble tree. You drop the marbles on it and as they drop down they hit different size wooden plates and they each make a different sound.
Woah unique intros!? I love it! You know what's kind of crazy, this guy has been around (and popular) for..... I wanna say well over 10 years now. An absolute YT OG and I love him so much, he brings us such wonderful unique little things that we would otherwise never see! And that's tragic!!! But I'm glad Tim has done all the hard work and is happy to share what he's found. Love you Tim ❤
Ingenious this is why it evolved to engineer. to engineering because engines were made by genius people. Steam trains were just metal parts moving along, and you had to know how to read the machines every stream train had a different character, to be able to get it moving and doing it efficiently.
I was hoping to see Tim in a wig and oversized powersuit and shirt open to his chest hair with a big golden chain. I was expecting him to look the 80s part. 🕺🏻
Thank you for all of your wonderful content! You are truly as much a treasure, and a joy as all of the merry-making items you debut to us. We are immensely lucky to be in a time with keen eyed fellows such as yourself, and I wish you only the best!
These are all items from Tim's collection, so are not for sale. They are all around 40 years old, so I doubt that any of them will be in a shop anywhere. Sometimes old toys appear on eBay. However the first and last items were hand made and given to Tim as presents. I guess the only option with these would be to make one yourself.
@@grandillusions😁 I just asked, I've no intention to buy such things which belongs to someone's memories of childhood. Even I encourage people to keep their memories. I had a few collection of toys, later donated them to kids. They loved it and played long with them. It was a good moment for me. 🙂
