Such a cool shoe! This is a special MTO from Timber Lee III...the brand formerly named Hephaestus. Made by Thanh Le in Vietnam and all done by hand. Hand dyed crust calf leather and hand dyed crust croc leather. Hand stitched, hand lasted and hand welted. Some of the unique design features are the angled toe tip along with spade sole, fiddleback waist, the butterfly and S curve Monroe heel. I forgot to mention the lasted shoe trees and spade sole in the video...so many unique details! A brand you should really check out and a great deal for hand made shoes in the $600 range.

Gorgeous shoes. But a narrow range of sizes. They seem to top out around size 10 1/2

I went to their website. It's not really functional. How do you view the selection of choices to order MTO shoes? For instance, I like the color you chose, but, I have no idea what the other colors available are. And if I wanted a regular heal instead of the Monroe, would their be other styles? How did you make your choices for the MTO?

I reached out to them directly via Instagram. I had seen some images on there and used those as reference to discuss what I wanted.

@@timothyprakope2069 honestly not sure it has a name since it's a hand dyed patina. I referred to it as taupe grey. If you wanted the same color just say you want the same as MB Shoedoc 👍

Beautiful shoes! How do they fit especially in terms of comfort?

Comfort is OK. The fit is good but by chance the way they creased the leather at the bend presses on the top of my foot. I think this will resolve as I wear them more. Only worn 3-4 times so far.

@@khanskingdom8275 style 10/10, comfort 7/10. My Allen Edmonds are probably my most comfortable shoes but they bore me somewhat. I'm willing to sacrifice some comfort for such a unique shoe. And the comfort may significantly increase over time. I just have too many shoes so each pair fits limited use.

First, I am a fan of you and your channel and while the shoes press on some boundaries of more conventional or conservative styles the execution and craftsmanship are simply stunning. In short I love the shoes :)@@mbshoedoc
