Great review. Following my earlier watching I went and bought one!!! As it says...easy to put up and take down. There are some little black screws holding the legs together, they come undone. I expect I will change them for bolts and lock nuts. Really looking forward to a much faster camp set up. Cheers.
Great review! Very interested in getting one and i noticed you mentioned YKK but i wasnt able to confirm that on he product page. Just wanted to confirm with you these use genuine YKK zippers?
@@Stephenkim326 nope, don't think it is. If I said that, it's a mistake on my part. Nevertheless it's a good quality zip and mine is still going strong 👍😊
Yeah it's pretty cool. I've not had any issues with sliding mats on this or the Higear bed I've got. They tend to fit nicely between the side bars and stay still 👍😊
im amazed a zip can withstand the weight of a person. the ultra cheap metal cots are good and strong but have to be built so are a faff. The lightweight ones on amazon look nice but the legs and fittings snap and the helinox one is a fortune. this seems the nicest fastest option. the only thing that could better it is a cot with legs that are hinged so each leg can be removed and folded flat but that doesnt exist at the moment. the only negative with the timber ridge other than the 4kg weight is the pack size is not very small its a bit of a lump but the frame seems very solid
It is indeed pretty solid. I've used it several times and found it comfortable and robust. Like all these canvas cots, they benefit from having a sleep mat on fire additional comfort 👍😁
yeah I'm defiantly getting one its just a shame they don't make an aluminium version. Thanks for the video not many people are reviewing these @@MoreThanJustaCleaner
