Just bought my 2nd pair of 12M Timberland Pro Gridwork Soft Toes to start breaking in. They do take a little while to get really soft and comfy but when they get there...nice! Waterproofing is excellent and the leather gets really soft and forms to your foot despite the lining. I locate utilities in Texas and they're not that bad in the summer w/ thinner breathable socks. All in all, for the $130-$140 range I've paid, these are hands down the best I've tried or even seen. Only downside is (of course) the sole wears out quickly. The grey bottom does really help w/ traction BUT still wears down (especially at the heel) REALLY quickly FYI.

I'm a wedge sole guy, so I had to try these out. I have the 8" steel toe version. The black upper with black laces looks sharp. They're like a comfy recliner on the inside. I had a few days of adjusting to how massive and heavy they are -- each boot is two and a half pounds! But there was zero break-in. 12 hours the first day. no problems. I can tell they're going to be hot in warmer weather. I'm in coastal Nor Cal, where summer doesn't really start until late August. I'm hoping they won't become sweat buckets.

Most Comfortable boots I’ve ever worn… been in the construction industry for 37 years and hands down the best boots ever, I wear them everyday and use them for riding my motorcycle being a shorter man it helps reduce the amount of reach on my Harley Davidson wouldn’t even consider anything else I’ve worn all different types of boots over the years and these are my personal preference in black

I just bought these boots 20 mins ago. Been at this construction racket almost 18 years.. and I have never put on a more comfortable supportive boot. I've worn them all. Redwing, irish setters, dakota's, terras, Royers, etc. Maybe it's my older age, but dam,,, beyond comfortable.

My Timberline Pro's (TAO16T4214) are just about to come to the end. They've been a fantastic boot for me. I'll either be looking to resole them or for a new pair. They've worked well on grassy embankments, deep in the turkey woods and even chasing pheasants when my Danner's were getting resoled ... they look good, but they are extremely comfortable and are my go to boot when I know I am going to need reliable footwear.
@adelyadnan
@adelyadnan 6 лет назад
This is one of the most comfortable boots i`ve own, i also have a pair of gridworks steel toe( black in color ) which is not as comfortable as the soft toe, the only draw back on these boots are the sole , it wears out pretty quick ( i work in a metal fab shop ) the front sole has some chips and its not ideal to drive a stick shift with this boot, its pretty slippery on the clutch & accelerator pedal and the feedback is close to none. As for the leather its a soft type i had a long piece of metal tubing that has been abrasive cut with burs fell on the side my boot, it gouge / tear the leather pretty deep . I don't think it will last a year with the work i do , but i`ll definitely buy another pair because it is so damn comfortable i wear this boots 8 - 10 hours a day , 5 days a week without getting my feet hurt.

+Kaleb Persinger ok, I don't want to suggest some thing that will melt to your foot if your cutting a frame or welding and exhaust system in place. Most of the top rated SR boots and shoes have about 50%nylon. Is that ok with you or do you want more leather?

Hey so im working at a hockey rink and trying to find boots or shoes that will be good on wet ice after its been flooded. Keep in mind when we walk on the ice at first its snowy then we walk on the wet ice. I know theres the artic grip boots but ive found there very pricey. Its like 350 with tax in canada. Im looking to spend like 260 with tax ( Canadian ) which is like 170+ tax usd. Im a 9.5 in shoes and i have a wide foot. Do you think these would be good or do you have any other recommendations? Also they have to be waterproof
@TsnBanks
@TsnBanks 5 лет назад
3 month late but worth the comment i guess. I also work in rinks and Ive always wanted to know what a wedge sole would be like on the ice. I used to wear skate shoes and they were my favourite for walking on the ice until my employers started to really crack down on safety and required us to have steel toes. Anyways i have yet to try any type of wedge sole out of fear of wasting money on something that may or may not work for me....But i have had two pairs of the timberland Boondocks and i can honestly say as far as work boots i have used thus far, they are probably my most favourite to walk on a freshly resurfaced rink with. I still really want to try a wedge sole boot out of curiosity. Also ive been working in rinks for nearly a decade now, if that counts for anything. Lots of experience and been through many different boots in that time.

Do you need a wedge?? Ive got a pair of these on order cause I wanted a more substantial boot for winter. But I work in an industrial manufacturing setting, and I've worn blundstones religiously for awhile. Durable, comfy (double the insole if you can), fairly light, and not to excessive, no laces to deal with.
