Dude,. The fact that you don't bop to this makes me think you're aliens.. Timbuktu is a swedish legend!!! He goes back to the 90's🤙 🤩❤️👏❤ -& NO he's NOTHING like Pitbull...!!! It's hard to not get insulted by campareing the two.. Check up the lyrics, he knows what he's doing..!!
Thank you for the reaction. The direct translation of the song in English is 'everyone wants to go to heaven, but few want to die'. He's talking about greed and people's willingness to take and not give. Like I believe Chris stated in the video. I've liked, subscribed, and added notis on 😀
@@theonlychrisanddanshow A little more about the song, it was released on the album of the same name. It peaked at number 6 on the Swedish charts. In both Norway and Sweden the album went gold. The music video if I'm not mistaken was recorded in Ghana. This song is also an interpretation of loretta lynn's song 'everybody wants to go to heaven, but nobody wants to die'. Timbuktu's song is essentially a direct translation of that song. Timbuktu has won plenty of Swedish grammies and has been in the game for a while now.
@@dansfera I wouldn't say he's very known in EU overall or internationally like Stromae. But yes, well known in Scandinavia and amongst Scandinavians. If I for instance lived in the UK or Germany it's very unlikely I would have known about his existence. Despite Timbuktu rapping in Swedish, he's a great english speaker. The reason being is because both his parents are Americans that had to escape the pressures of being an interracial couple in New York in the late 60s. His father also came from a poor background and couldn't afford getting a higher education. He however got it in Sweden. Essentially they moved to Sweden for a better life. Just a little fun fact i wanted you to know, I've typed alot under this tread hahaha
Here's the video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NDHlDb9AOsU.html Timbuktu isn't only rapping in Swedish, but in malmöitisk skånska, a dialect from Malmö, a city in the southern parts of Sweden called Skåne.
Would have been nicer if you had looked up just a tiny bit info about the singer/artist before stating he is german just coz its a foreign language........ it's kinda disrespectful :/
@@forcedtohaveahandle Yeah, first time I heard this song, the instrumental sounded African to me. I believe this video was recorded in Ghana too, so yeah.
So glad to see reaction of timbuktu. I see so many reactions of tee new kid rappers.. No hate.. But they are on a totally different level from the old school hiphop in Sweden. We got some really good shit over here 🇸🇪👌
Cause we want what we want, and we want it now1 and if we see an opportunity to take, then it doesn't matter how 'Cause we're wilder than animals when it comes to taking and if someone's in my way, well then there'll be a big commotion Nothing is sacred, 'cause we take what we want If we can earn on a train, then we'll jump right on I mean, why compromise, why budge one inch? Just because someone else did - should I do the same? I mean, I want to be just as well off as the rich are and if they're ruthless, I'll be the same but what they don't know, is that I don't have anything to lose so my concerns can never be (as) big (as theirs) Everybody wants to go to heaven, but few wants to die We want to collect the price, but don't sow any seeds We want our piece of the cake and we want to eat it too People want to take, but are reluctant to give And I will do what I do, and I will do it well and I'll continue, until somebody comes and steals my spot ' cause who decides wrong or right when morality is dead and people are killing each-other for their daily bread The state is backing away, the companies are taking over and they talk the talk, but give us poor wages so much crap you'd think millions of stomachs are empty so they force us to swim in an ocean full of lies Truth is now just a memory for everything we add, something disappears Yes, this ladies and gentlemen, is what we are but I hear the old men on TV say that they want peace Everybody wants to go to heaven, but few wants to die We want to collect the price, but don't sow any seeds We want our piece of the cake and we want to eat it too People want to take, but are reluctant to give And I will, spit epistles as if it was my last day and I knew about it maybe I'll find the answers in the last round Have lost so many choices that it's alarming the list is as long as the way there, and more whatever the cost, it's probably expencive I've thought about it, but most of the time, not carefully (as) the wrong deep-dives tests you psychologically We must pay for everything that is important that's the law, we can't escape from it I see what I see, and I don't see anything else and what I see when I look, makes me really infuriated we are going somewhere and I don't know where hope we can figure it out while the planet is left Stuff, things, items, do we have to have it all? but there are wounds in their hearts, which really torment us I mean, the risks are many, but we have to take them 'Cause the suffering will get even bigger without any capital Consequences doesn't matter to me the only help I can get, comes from within and you can ask whoever you want, even those who are friendly but no one here can afford to help strangers so the result is a downward spiral so we do a "mano-a-mano" until only one is left Everybody wants to go to heaven, but few wants to die We want to collect the price, but don't sow any seeds We want our piece of the cake and we want to eat it too People want to take, but are reluctant to give lyricstranslate.com
God damn you guys should listen to Ken Ring - spräng regeringen, Ken Ring is like timbuktu, OG swedish rapper, but while Jason (Timbuktu) is more known for his clean kind of lyrics, Ken is the full opposite, Ken Ring is a lyrical rebell and a poet.
