The ramifications would be that their season is over so he called John and John stated “we have more bait than we need we’ll give you some” and then on the day Sig came for the bait John told him that he didn’t have enough bait to spare him (which he could have just said beforehand) which halted his season and cost him thousands. Dumping some pots near his string is the bare minimum he could and arguably should have done since John wanted to mess with his business. Sig managed to get bait in the end but it was at a much higher mark up as it was last second.
