I think it’s amazing how protective you are with your work in terms of not adding ads in the middle of the documentaries…. Honestly I’d love to see more budget/itinerary videos. I frequent your website and have used your budget breakdowns multiple times throughout the years. Please keep documenting these things.

Love to see the itineraries for your tours. We often come back to videos when thinking/planning future trips and as much as we enjoy watching your vids Karl it would be great to have videos that were the 'cheat sheet' version so we could skip to the places/areas/accommodation we know we are visiting/ would like to do.

I'm big fan of your videos and things you do in general, it seems fun. The only thing I would like you to add (for now at least) is to maybe give us more financial details. Not what you spend so much, but how affordable a place is and prices more or less.

Suggestions for shorts: review of travel gear, review of travel services like currency exchange, transfer services (uber vs. taxi), interviews of other travel vloggers, and maybe more guides on making and editing travel videos and photos. Keep it subjective and honest. We watch this channel for your opinion.

Beer ads! Cheap and easy for the ad videos. Cut up previous docos and do mini bites of them-with ads. People interested in those shorts can then watch the full thing ad uninterrupted-if interested.

Karl I pay for RU-vid premium, I would never see adverts on your videos keeping the flow of the story. You could make a lot more money doing the Truman show ads...but it is pretty annoying paying not to see ads, and still Paddy Doyle won't stop banging on about Square Space.
Idea for a short, how do you navigate all the drone regulations for the different countries. For example, your drone footage would break lots of regulations here in Australia.
All good news. Your Documentary Videos are undoubtedly the best of the genre on You-Tube. Only Josh Edwards comes close, another video editor by trade. Exciting year you’ve got ahead of you! My husband and I have been following your journey for a couple years now, and we really appreciate the quality you put into your documentaries. It made us want to travel to places we never really thought about before. I think it’s a great idea about the shorter informative videos with ads/sponsorships. In terms of topics ideas, can I suggest you talk about practical ways to film/edit travel videos? Eg. best gear, choosing a shot, etc. TBH if you put an online class about that, I’d totally subscribe!
Great strategy, kudos to you for keeping your documentaries free from any ads. As far as the short videos are concerned would prefer travel tips, budget and luxury stays, best time when to visit different destinations and when the weather is going to be pleasant, not so hot etc. thanks again for giving us an overall picture and plans for 2024 from you, so sweet. As people say on the streets "he's a real one". You got the right mindset. All them ads and sales pitches absolutely ruin any content you see on here so keep it pure and stick to the same method. You have the best travel show by a clear mile. Keeping it honest and realistic is what makes it unique.
You seem to have plenty ideas for shorter vids, but I'd maybe consider a mild channel name change. "Karl Watson Travel"....more broad spectrum, less wordy and leaves no doubt as to what you do. The fact the documentaries are the showpiece of the channel will be obvious regardless and can be highlighted via playlists.
I know of some quality RU-vidrs and their view in terms of adverts, etc. are consistent with yours. Whatever works best for you bro 👊🏼 you work really hard and yet one of the coolest dude on RU-vid. Congrats 🎉 in advance for the wedding and good luck for the move to Canada, that’s a loss to UK.

Love you videos, Karl .Been watching for years. Georgia is an absolute gem of a country - been twice and absolutely loved it. Winter there can be challenging though and you may find you are limited in what you can do there. Enjoy the trip!

Found your channel while looking at Slovenia as we are doing a road trip in September, just want to say ur trips look fantastic I would absolutely love to travel as a job unfortunately this isn’t really an option but will continue to follow your adventures , your love for nature and the outdoors and having fun whilst travelling is really inspiring 🙌🏻

All ideas you mentioned are videos id like to see, best hikes, your favorite locations in each countries youve been, travel tips for all countries youve been too, things you would de differently, maybe things that could be harder to do in some countries how to work those things like trains, ell and other transportation , top 10s,25s and the list goes on an on an on lol any idea you will have will be a great idea and ill watch all of it👍🏻

Short video idea- not a lot of the travel industry talks about in depth budgeting or the money side to these trips. I would be personally interested in knowing what the 2 hour train ride costs or what that hand gliding excursion cost I like to know the money side it helped me with my personal travel plans
Love your plan for the channel. You’re documentaries are unique relative to a lot of the RU-vid content so appreciate your desire to keep them the way are. At the same time I love your work, so excited that this will let you put out content more frequently!
