Have a sweet bullseye v brake coming. I know I’ll be going to the shop too. The Paul on it right now is dialed so I knows of don’t want to. Mess with it but it’s tine to get matchy match
Looks like you need to reconfigure the brake pad washers. Then you should have enough cable for the brake arm fastener to tighten. And the side adjusters are just for spring tension on the arms. It takes a little time but it's not hard to center your brakes and tension them so you like the feel with your lever! Watch some of the Park tool videos, they brake it down pretty well...Btw, your bike is killa and box brakes rule! 👍🏻🙏🏻
Hey Gee! Love your info/content/getting to know you….. I just added Magura h33 to big ripper. My first se bike was monster ripper with hydros and love hydro, the Magura h33 were night and day to stock brake. Can modulate with minimal effort……once your over $100 for box the $125 for Magura is not too much of a jump…would be sweet to see your take on em :)
Hey man you should check out park tools v brake adjustment video. They lay it out simply and it'seasy tofollow. Thise dudes are masters.. But you gotta get some better tools lol. The nice thing about the box one vs box three is that b1 has the bearings in the pivot points. Take it easy
What up Gee! Hey, do you know if the Box Three (85) would work on a Cult Devotion 29"? I tried to upgrade the stock brakes and other than the brake lever, cable and pads, the arms (108) didn't fit, they were too long. I was thinking of trying the Box Three (85) because of the shorter arms but 'm not 100% sure if they are compatible. Thanks!
Hey man, great channel and great videos. I found your video when I was waiting for my Box3 brake kit. I see in your video, the brake sits way apart at the top. Mine looked the same after installing it. I know you took yours to the shop for adjustment, but did he reconfigure the shoe spacers to get it to look normal? I took mine apart and switched from the large spacer between shoe and arm, to the smaller spacer and it looks normal now. Figured this out looking at my stock brake setup. Also, the same as you, I only ordered the brake kit for more looks. The stock brakes on the SQB-26 are decent. Thanks again for posting great videos and keep it up one wheel
I have a question I have a big flyer and I want my brake levers to be double not just one cause I don’t feel comfortable do you know if I can somehow change that? 🤔
So after I get box 3 brakes all I have to do is just change brake pads is that the only maintenance for brakes and will I been fine just to keep stock brakes but just change brake pads ?
I have a 2022 big ripper and I feel likes to hard to wheelie my bike I can get up it but I can’t seem to pedal more I feel like it’s too hard to pedal should I change my sprocket
