We still moldboard plow to cut a deep furrow around fields that we want to keep the mudders out of.. One year we turned an old harrow upside down and put it in a big mud hole... That got their attention real quick..
I worked at a feedyard back in the 90s. The owner bought a Landoll weatherproofer. It was yellow. 9 shank. And we had a problem with the back disk gang not doing a very good job of leveling the soil. That winter we took it in the shop and took the back gangs off and cut 1 inch off the spools to narrow the disk spacing and put 1 additional disk blade in.
Yeah just touching base with your growing corn we're out of Central Wisconsin thinking about doing some dirt work but we held off because we were supposed to get a week or rain right after and sunday's weather so I'll keep in touch with you and I watch your video so it was great and like that so you have a good time
Doing a great job weatherproofer 3ing in your 8295R North American when you we’re talking about the gang angles I cought a glimpse of Mt Denali Alaska is beautiful this time of year
Landoll makes a well built quality product! I think you guys out in your area buy a large amount of there tillage equipment! Keep the videos coming good stuff man!
Yes we noticed on 730b the same way in bean stubble need to run disks some! We demoed a 875 Thursday had 75 acres of stalks worked and I worked 15 double crop stubble same with it need disks down doing a little bit, kinda like you I never thought would need them but they do something
Ya Landoll is very well and heavy built!! It’s made 30 miles east of me in Marysville Kansas!!! I have a disc and VT from them!! I would like to have one like you have...
I would say that is looking pretty good. Now maybe just go back over everything in the spring with a VT disc or a good high speed disc and you would have the perfect seed bed.
I like the look of the job the Landoll is doing. Not too chunky, not to fine, and residue on top still. Does a much nicer job than what I’ll call a “traditional” chisel plow like an old IH 55 or a Brady like I have. I wonder how it would size and work in solid manure?
Have you tied running a Kelly diamond harrow they do a great job clearing up fields after harvest. A lot of farmers use them in Arkansas where I’m from to help work ground before planting and after harvest.
Do you do any nh3 in the fall got all of our done yesterday but 12 acres where water always stands. I run a 730b and we run a old style 11 shank Glencoe chisel works fine but 2 rows of shanks had a 3 bar before we jad oir first ripper it would plug all the time. Kinda nice at times when we run them both in the same field, chisel always seems to be dryer due to big ridges, ripper is always looser and wetter all work well
