They don't. The turrets are created randomly. If you get a MkI, select the turret again until you get one of the desired ones.

i think its pretty lore friendly there's hover robots and vertibirds utilize copter blade style lift so i think it fits right in (i'm assuming that "more" was a typo for lore in your comment)

I don't know if this is mentioned in any of his videos but another little known fact about the turrets is that their range is determined by there elevation (vaguely explained in game help section somewhere), so by sticking it way up in the air like that it can spot and react to attackers much farther away then at ground or mid level, it also puts it safely out of there range of attack so they cant destroy it unless there using a rocket or something to hit it. So this is not only cool and useful its also a effective and innovative defense tactic for people playing on survival mode where enemies cut through your defenses like a fat guy through a pizza lol I often use the Zombie Walker mod which makes ghouls super powered bad asses that only die from head shots so turrets are very squishy against them unless i place then above there swing range and have to use the explosive turret to blow them apart.

@@SkooledZone that's amazing and all but seems like too much work lol the mod i use just adds 10000 wireless power to every settlement by placing one switch , done and done, so far no issues using it besides it keeps stuff on ALL the time so cant use a switch to turn things on and off as it will be stuck in on mode, which is why I have been learning your method in the first place to eventually do away with this mod for more immersive electric things in my builds. I also want to point out that i only use mostly aesthetic mods, to ether improve the weather and look of the game or add interesting locations to explore, I try to stay away from and cheaty mods that give me an advantage, unless you consider turning all ghouls into The Walking Dead Style zombies with double health and can only die with shots to the head a cheat,

Learoy G Actually he was a summer camp counselor for many years,as well as teaching Karate at his local Y. He also sent me a link to an old video of his called "Origins stories(pt1)". It gives a brief history of him ,as well as why he started the channel. I recommend it,if you're interested in his....Well..Origin story😉 I told him he should try part time teaching at least,kids could use a guy like him,but he's doing this so,it's a no-go. I feel its a loss,because with his creative mind,i know he could do our kids a solid,& make them want to learn. Don't know if i told him this,but there are kid shows on RU-vid as well.When my little brother came down from Joplin his 3yr old watched this father-son channel where they played games,taught things,& was very engaging for a child.So,theres that too😕

Since they have to gather speed when the power is turned back on they don't always sync up how you want. Really it's just quicker to keep selecting and placing the fans until they're spaced apart.

Certainly worth a shot. Although sometimes they still get out of sync when they're getting up to speed. That's why I do it while they're on so they stay that way. :)

To answer my own question, yes you can build it lower and raise it up once its completed. I made one at Sanctuary. Dogmeat is making me laugh because he just sits and stares up at it! It fascinates him... hahaha

Odd. That's never happened to me.

Ok it seems it didn't actually disappear, the timing of it changed and it was spinning in line with the other, I only noticed it yesterday as it has once more changed timing and is now visable again. :)) don't know if you had any trouble with them jamming on each other when you built them, but it was something I noticed when building them, so I'm thinking it might just need a slight adjustment in height.

You can certainly try that. When I did that at first, they didn't always sync up the same way when the power was turned back on. But it's certainly worth a shot. I just found tapping 'place' until it spins correctly was faster.

That stands for the difficulty rating. Those videos start near the end of the No Mods Shop Class playlist.

No worries man. I think it was actually patched by Bethesda so it doesn't work on _any_ platform without mods.

Skooled Zone really... Well that sucks.. guess I'll have to download a mod for that.. bc I wanna be able to choose which Mk turrets I put in my settlements.. if I'm building them with my scrap then I should get to choose which Mk they are. It's the same requirements to build a MkI as it is a MkVII.. you'd think you'd get to choose and not have location be the only deciding factor.. anyways keep up the good work, love the vids.

@@SkooledZone I've been playing this for years and I'm a day late and a dollar short I'm going to try and figure out how to do that because it looks very cool I'm playing right now as we speak

The trick is to build the scaffolding all the way up to where you want to to "float" and then once the structure is finished, you can delete all the scaffolding and it will stay where it is. ;-)

Flyshy 8 You're probably talking about the stuff from the "vault tec" dlc. But to get the stuff from vault tec dlc you have to finish the vault 88 questline.. it's not long, you just build 3 different machines for the ghoul overseer and test them on the settlers that come in the vault.. then you can unlock the vault tec category and everything in it in workshop mode. After you finish vault 88 quests you could build an entire vault outside if you wanted.. and you also get to finish building vault 88 which is gigantic..

Thanks Phoenix2079x. Yeah, some of the dlc introduce new threats to settlements like Rust Devils and more raiders and stuff. But a few of these turretcopters should do the trick. ;-)
