I think this looks amazing, I didn’t realise you could tack weld modern pennies… I guess it’s the high nickel. I would like todo this for a dragon body scales.. love your work and creations.. I make things myself so I know how hard it can be to get things right …. Love the idea… the whole side of the head on a wall would be incredible.

This is stunning. Another brilliant piece As a novice to welding I have learned two things from this ... 1 - You can heat metal for bending with a tig torch. 2 - you can actually weld two dissimilar metals Very informative. I love watching these creations grow

How can anyone give this a thumbs down? Amazing purely amazing. This has got to be up there with the most piece's welded! And in time the dragon will grow older and greener due to the patina of the copper, but seeing it all spruced up with the wire brush I think thatI would be buying a few brushes! BIG THUMBS UP from me all day long mate👍😉👍

@roosterscreations
@roosterscreations 5 лет назад
Hi again Jean Claude,Lol yeah I've been doing this a long time now, the welding pennies isn't as easy as you'd think, their copper plated so you hve to burn through the copper to get to the steel. I'm still learning little tricks every day, using a tig torch to heat metal for bending for instance. Thanks for commenting and supporting my channel, Stay tuned for more builds coming soon. 😀👍👍

@roosterscreations

Hi there, its not all that heavy poss 5-7 kg no it was just mild steel wire as the coins are made from steel.

That is a nice piece, however there is one thing that is bothering me. I believe that you put the scales on the wrong way. I think you should have started the scales from the bottom up. So that way water and moister runs down, much like a roof, you install shingles from the bottom up so water don’t get trapped. If you look at nature scales and feathers alway start from the bottom up to the head. Anyhow I’ve seen several of your videos and you are an amazing sculpture.

What scales??? This is smaugs eye looking out from the mountain of coins, the coins are the giveaway.
