You guys know that what you are doing is "Damned Beautiful"!!!!! To treat others in a humane way during their tuff time, I hope we make this a standard across ALL of America.

This is an amazing solution to get homeless off the streets and headed for a better quality of life. Its a win win for all. The residents can now have an opportunity to have a safe transitional home base with which to strive for stability and advance their finances to eventually find affordable housing.

These are really neat little huts. I'm thinking about building one for myself. I would like to start out with one and then maybe build two more side by side and attach them somehow with a walk way that is like a hallway connecting them together and maybe use tin for the outer shell and live in it.

Hrrrrmmmm how much longer could this last if you put in thicker insulation and then made a final roof layer of poultry netting covered with cloth soaked with magnesium concrete so it hardens to a hard shell?
@TeamXXXsucess
@TeamXXXsucess Год назад
Rather than going threw all that you can just spray a fibreglass roof with reenforced hard strand.
@synocrat601

@@TeamXXXsucess I'm not opposed to that. I would like to see the cost and ease of use difference though

I use to build rodent & rabbit cages for my kids same principle no insulation so no it's not a conestoga design it's a pet rodent design

I built a trailer for my bike like this in tampa and zoning destroyed it saying it's against zoning laws and fined me $10'000 for living in it

Motorcycle or bicycle trailer? How big was it? You pulled it around on your bike, and they did that to you?

@@charlesyates6687 Seems like smaller towns your more likely to not be bothered. Big city like Tampa and they'll jump on your ass for any stupid little reason they can make up...

@@charlesyates6687 That's messed up tho bro.. a bicycle camper is something EVERY homeless person should have, but cities have too many restrictions on EVERYTHING!!! I try to avoid the big city and just crisscross back and forth, around small towns and generally try to avoid people... People are shitty. There's no compassion or empathy. People are selfish and ignorant

They could probably teach a lot of city leaders how to build homes for homeless people without the 2 million survey.

What are those concrete platforms this is mounted on? Where can you find them?
@Slapshot2221
@Slapshot2221 4 года назад
Charles Ruffing they are called remodel pier blocks, we get them locally from a place called Willamette Graystone, they’re not always at hardware stores
@erikdebuhr1091
@erikdebuhr1091 4 года назад
Charles, also keep in mind you don't need to use the low profile blocks (remodel blocks) that we use here in Eugene. You use the standard 12X12 base pier blocks. We use the low profile blocks to keep the hut as low to the ground as possible for accessibility reasons.

those are called footers, they are to level the foundation and keep the structure elevated out off the wet ground. you can make them easy with 5gal buckets and cement or buy them pre made @ home depo
