DIY My Way I appreciate it bud! Yeah it has been alot of work,I’m hoping to get a backhoe soon to help dig the depth and shape up the edges on the pond..thank you for watching!
Did you get a lot of rain from that last storm? Nice size project! The rocks in that hard ground sure made it tough digging but you did a good job with it. Have a good weekend!!
Louisiana Tractorworks & Projects it rained for 30 mins, and that was a light rain the storm went north of us..but I think im gonna expand the pond again cause we are looking at a couple more weeks of no rain...thanks John yeah the rocks have definitely make it harder..you too bro
@@Bamacountry88 She holding water? I just started digging mine out with the JD, about 8 hours in so far. I’ll probably rent big equipment eventually but thanks for showing me it’s not necessary! Nice work.
@@enricopallazzo3244 thanks brother! No it is not holding water so I’m in the process of finding a water source for it,hopefully it will be ready soon I’m gonna upload a video soon on what i am planning on doing for the water source...thanks for watching bud
This pond i dug would have been around 6’ if i got it to hold water,it never held water so i started a new on in my front yard where it stayed wet alot and i got it to 6’ deep with my new tractor that has a backhoe..you can do it it’s just alot of time and the amount of dirt that came out was more than I thought it would be,as long as u have somewhere to put the dirt you can do it..just realize it’s gonna be alot of dirt! Check out the front yard pond videos i did,it actually holds enough water to have fish in..thanks for watching and commenting!
HI! thanks for all the information and your videos! I am actually going to be doing this outside the US in about 2 months. Researching into which tractors to get (limited to alibaba as the place is developing country to ship -never done this) and trying to limit buying extra things like a backhoe or excavator attachment as they may end up being used too infrequently to justify buying. I don't mind the time it would take otherwise :). Current research saying a box blade or saw tooth end helps. I am actually looking forward to the dirt. Need as much as I can get for rammed earth walls and CEB :) @@Bamacountry88
