What is the best conditions for you to grow? Other plants: Perfect humidity, rich soil, real sunlight, optimal water pH, protection against bugs etc.. Potato: yes.
@@mohomonkey9906 Ireland's soil wasn't particularly hostile against potatoes when the famine began, it was actually a global pandemic affecting potato crops. The problem is that the British only allowed the Irish to grow that single crop while themselves were exporting all others.
I did it even longer (1year and a half), when the potato gets totally dehydrated, the plant dies and then the potato hardens until it gets the hardness of a rock

I'm in shock how this potato can handle it's humidity inside for a long time, to throw it's core to something that brings life again. Idk what is even inside that controls what to do. This is what amazing and informative about it. I thought i could find someone else like-minded, but not... 100% of comments are jokes etc. No one cares about what's really impressive (for me especially).
i hope you dont go there mate. no religion comes out of how potato grows. i can see how your imagination evolves towards 'something is telling it to sacriface itself to bring life' kind of idea.. but trust me. potatos arent intelligent creatures.. if the conditions right for them. they will reproduce as video shows.. enough light and simple pop of a sprout would do. doesnt even need water.
