the memories...ohh the memories..live in Vegas now, but home and my heart are always back in Western New York...as ridiculous as it sounds...I miss the snow, the rain and all the neat things that are Buffalo, NY...hope to make it back in the near future....Go, my Buffalo Bills 💙❤
I live on Vancouver Island now, from Upstate New York. We get snow just enough to enjoy it, bring back those memories, the good ones, for a few days then it goes back to rain😅. Anyone remember coming home from work in a blizzard taking some backroad because the main highway was shut down because deemed too dangerous, an hour or more added to your commute, could hardly see where the road was from the fields, to find two feet of ice chunks and snow piled at the end of your driveway by the plow. Shoveling it over the 4 feet snow banks (actually ice walls) to get your car in the driveway…and off to work in the morning. Get to work early enough to take the calls of the people living in town who were calling in off because they couldn’t get their car out of their driveway😂. Those were the days, I could go on but the music would get bad haha
@@nycat1485 also lived in Southern California for years, no rain.. totally get it. And if you’re retired and don’t have to go to work when the weather is bad for days it is much better 😂. Stay home for five days then all good, and there is no place like 🏡 home.
I remember the big dig outs every winter in Michigan. I'm a retired teacher who always prayed for a snow day. Loved this video watching from Georgia. ❤️
I remember the blizzard of 1978 in Metro Detroit, I was coming home on leave after graduating basic training from the USAF my plane landed just before the storm hit had to wait for dad to arrive to pick me up, we got stranded on I 94 & US 24 & had to walk to the house it was only 7.5 miles but with the heavy snow took us. 5 or 6 hrs to get home. then we had to dig out the door of the house snow drifts were even with the roof.
AS A PERSON BORN AND RAISED IN BUFFALO, NEVER DO YOU ALLOW THE SNOW TO CHANGE YOUR PLANS. MY FATHER PUT MY BROTHER AND MYSELF ON A SLED, AND DRUG US SOME BLOCKS AWAY FOR ICE CREAM. ON THE WAY HOME I WILL NOT FORGET HIS HEAVY OVERCOAT BLOWING BACK WITH THE WIND. (MISSING HIM SO MUCH)
The cat got out and I haven’t seen it in 2,5 hours. My cats go out for 30 min tops when its cold. Buffalo kitties are tough! It’s been so long since we had snow like this. It was in another century…
I live in West Virginia. Unfortunately, we don’t get good snows like this anymore. I can remember in the 70’s and early 80’s we got snow that would stay on the ground for months. Seems like now we’re lucky to get 2 inches. 😞😩
I just stumbled on your video. OMG! I remember seeing the Blizzard of “77 on the news when I lived in Miami. I remember thinking…”I wanna live THERE!” I did for Uni, and I Loved it! I miss the snow so much! I wanna live there again! Gr8 city, gr8 people…best city in the US! Love your videos, more snow please! 😊
In 2011 after 18 years of this I snapped. half my life was being wasted away trapped indoors like house arrest. I left everything behind and moved back to Florida, it wasn't easy at all but I knew that weather was a slow death. I watch this stuff to remind myself it was the correct move.
I'm in Grand Rapids Michigan and we got hit with that Blizzard last weekend over 2 feet of snow I think 🤔 anyways I had to work in that crazy crap thank God I didn't get into any accidents I deliver pizzas I work for Papa John's Pizza quite an experience to drive in good thing some ppl were cautious and drove slow and I give kuddos to the Snow plow drivers for making the highway somewhat clear
I’m in Kalamazoo. It was awful. I moved here 8 1/2 years ago when my grandson was born. I drove over to their house Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Never in a million years did I think as a 76 year old would I be doing that. I grew up with snow in Germany. Moved to San Diego when I was 12.
Thank you for showing this. If you don't want people to move there, this is a great deterrent video lol. I feel bad watching folks do the snow shoveling and then right back not too much longer. My parents both grew up in snow and always told me vacation or visit it don't live in it. So I am 46 and have never seen or been in it. Now I have pain conditions which there is no way I could. Respect for the folks that have to deal with snow often. But thank goodness it doesn't happen like this often! Stay warm friends!! ❤🙏
From Minnesota, 🥶understand COLD (-10F tonight w/ 45mph winds) and Snow (a foot yesterday, a foot tomorrow, on top of black ice and blowing). Makes you wonder how people got around in rear-wheel drive cars. 😢Only December and already sick of shoveling 🛌I'd like to leave a wake-up call for April
I keep seeing flashes of light, is that just your camera or was there lightening too? The house across the street and 2-doors down has some serious activity!!
Hey that was my bday…it totally snowed at your house bro 😂 😎 ✌🏻💨💨💨…love Timelapse and almost felt like I was there in some kind of fast forward trippy way…thanks for sharing your crazy snow bro 💚♥️👊🏻🤣💯💨💨💨
I'm curious is this the blizzard that killed 50 people. Unless your area was sheltered it looks pretty ok. Where I live blizzards cover houses, people have to get shoveled out, they cover cars, snowfall is 100 centimeters with 120 kilo winds. It surprises me that so many people died in what looks like a normal blizzard from this vantage point.
The man at this house seem to be a GOOD man Savanah. Out there shoveling 3 or 4 times making sure thr ladies in that duplex or whatever it is has a walking path.
Not one ingle plow through that entire time lapse ,, they would of went through my neighborhood as soon as I shoveled out my drive the first time..usually within 15 minutes of me going in the door after spending all the time digging out one goes through.
We are 5 men short in Kalamazoo. My neighborhood didn’t get plowed for 2 days. They cleared one lane of the highway and no side streets. My apartment complex didn’t get cleared. There was 2 feet of snow in the parking lot. Thank God my car was in the garage. It took about 4 days to clear everything and then it’s been rainy ever since so the snow is completely gone.
