I, totally, enjoyed this painting being done! Love the tree. I painted, a while back, something, similar and sold it to a young military couple who wanted new art for their new home in California. I am in Texas. ^^*
Eu sou o Rui Ferreira, tudo bem convosco? Eu apenas pinto, estou ainda a aprender e quero agradecer ao Tim Gagnon pelos videos. Um grande abraço para vocês todos.
I have always enjoyed watching your videos and aspire to your level of talent. Oh, and es, i did wonde about the way you almost have OCD about your clouds and then paint over them...ha ha ha
Just wanted to let everyone know my process in painting clouds and why I'm okay with painting over them. I feel as if I create a good background I will never have holes in my painting. I'm just really picky when it comes to that. So if there are spaces in the tree everything will "line up" correctly in the background. I'm just really picky that everything is completed in the background, so when I do the foreground it all lines up perfectly.
I love the Jacaranda tree. We had a massive one in our back yard, it shaded the entire area. They have massive roots, but for the most part they are shallow. Then we got a direct hit from Hurricane Charlie and it was destroyed. I miss my tree, and the innocence I had before Charlie destroyed that too :-( Beautiful painting, brought back good memories.
I would understand why you painted over it :)) The leaves still show a bit of gaps and you can still see parts of the clouds! :D He made it more realistic! Awesome job! :)
Hey, l agree on the fact that the painting is a lovely one indeed, however l strenuously defend the freedom of expressing the most diverse points of view. In this sense those people should not be called "mentally ill"...it s a matter of different sensibility, whether you like it or not. Ciao!
That is a beautiful finished painting. My thought though is why would you spend so much time and detail in the background sky, branches and clouds and then cover it all up with the leaves on the tree?
ok i have been with acrylics for a good while now, but how do you get the paint to carry as far as you do? One stroke and you have a branch....it takes my several to get the paint to make a good solid strong line
