Well it was 1983. A different time compared to now. But it was fans like this who started Fanderson which is still going strong today. Some of those fans are even responsible for saving original props from destruction. Even finding lost film footage from the vaults :-)
David Graham, among many things one of the Dalek voices in the 1960s movies of Dr Who. Unfortunately, nobody told the Dalek operators that the light bulbs on their heads should synchronise with their speech. David had to adjust his delivery of the lines to match the lights, which is why the movie Daleks all sound concussed.
Always good to see the head from the Lady Penelope sex doll - yours for two pounds ten shillings back in the day, but very hard to find now. You could try ebay.
I found out how to really, really annoy a trekker. I was on a training course where one participant was being quite obnoxious to people to whom she felt superior. At one point she mentioned attending a Star Trek convention. I said "Oh, you're a Trekk *IE*, are you?", held up my hand in the Vulcan salute, which apparently a lot of Trekkers find very difficult, and said "Nanu Nanu". I was greatly relieved that she didn't speak to me again.
