Originally discovered by divers from RAF Lossemouth three years ago, an amazing shipwreck lies some 20 metres down on the seabed just off the coast of Kinlochbervie, in north-west Scotland.
Finds of cannons, anchors and pottery have been discovered. But how did this ship end up here, and was she once part of the Spanish Armada?

When Tony went scratching about with his finger on the residue at the bottom of the three legged bowl, I backhanded the monitor and hurt my finger. Archaeology induced primal reflex, is my guess. As usual, Phil seems in his element, although, he missed a chance to do some "experimental archaeology," making beer from the kelp harvest. The ingenious Viking/Scots could, and still today have the ability to brew with anything organic, it seems. But, I digress...

If the ship were foundering they might have done so, chucked the admiral's chest of fancy crockery overboard with it. Historical accounts are full of lies. None more likely than those of great victories, of great heroic deeds, and other such things that would be fodder for national pride, especially at the time. Especially in the past when all the public knew was through news pamphlets and broadsheets from official accounts. Do you really think that they wouldn't have proclaimed that they won, quite unexpectedly, over the Armada due to their own merit rather than an accident of weather? And that is the version that is remembered in the UK? All types of officialdom, in every period, in every culture, has done this sort "PR", put a bit of positive spin to look good to their own people, to make more of anything they could while minimizing damages.

What would you prefer ? Geordie ? Glaswegian ? Most of us prefer someone who speaks comprehensible English. Sorry you didn't enjoy the benefits of private education . ! Not too late though ! Elocution lessons are fairly inexpensive .

Everything from 5:40 to 7:23 could have been skipped. The toy ships are enough to make the answer "yes, a wreck between these two points could certainly be related to the Armada." I dislike this man. You're answering a question, not assembling a thesis.

You dislike the man because he did his job as the producers asked him to do? That seems unfair. By that rule of judgement, you probably have ill feelings for the majority of the people you encounter, which would make your life miserable. Lighten up! I appreciated his input, thank you very much.
