Wow, I lost faith in the catholic church over 20 years ago here in Ireland, I have always believed in a God, but the catholic church here in Ireland made me lose faith in their way of teaching. If there were more priests like you in the world it would be a much different place. You're a true man of God and his love radiates through you. I just discovered Father David Wilton on RU-vid. He “randomly” appeared in my search engine. I was searching for comfort through my faith during this trying time in our country. Father David was/is an answer to my prayers. His words spoke volumes to me and gave me new hope in our God. I was unaware that he lived in upstate New York only an hour from where I live. God brought him to me! God is good!

We have to repent for all the unholy, lawless transgressions of God’s commandments done willfully or unknowingly, in order to obtain mercy and grace so that we might not be judged and fall into condemnation, the condemnation of eternal hell. 📖 Acts.3:19 says,..✔️Repent, then, and turn to GOD, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the LORD What is confession of sins? 👉 CONFESSION! The guilt of sin and it’s condemnation is rolled away if one truly regrets his sinful past and confesses them in the presence of Jesus Christ. 📖Romans.10:9 &10 ✔️That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. 📖 1 John, 1st chapter & verse 9 says.. ✔️If we confess our sins, He (Jesus Christ) is faithful and just to forgive us our sins(every sin)... I have never been religious by any stretch of the imagination as i have always seen religion of any kind as a disaster because they all conflict with one another and i have always felt this as being a divide amongst us when one religion hates another for its teachings and thinks that it is the supirior religion we should all abide by... Personally im of a spiritual persuasion and have the beleif we are all as one in the universe and part of the zero point energy source which some refer to as god.. Oddly enough just listing to this man speaking resonates with me in so many ways infact makes me feel quite emotional because i feel that im on the same journey in life which is to love and learn and unburdern my previous kama and also to make this world a better place to live for the future genetations who come after i have left and gone home again.. I also share this man’s passion to rid the world of all evil as there is in my opinion no place for evil in this world and everyone should have freedom to live in a society governed on basic morals and from the people for the people... I may not follow any religion but i follow my heart instead and if thats where this god you speak about lives then yeah i follow him too

Egypt (much of it) was under the Rome as was Israel. Were they really refugees? It just sounds like going from Russia to Ukraine during the former USSR. There is a free flow of travel from one place to the other and a united authority over them all. A decree went out from Caesar that the whole world would be enrolled so there would be travel within the boundaries under Roman occupation. Bummer they could not return to their home as they expected. Quite the plot twist as Moses led them out of Egypt, to have Our Lord fleeing Israel into Egypt for sanctuary. Must be some symbolism there. Three years in exile. Three days risen, Trinity. Especially with Passover and the Eucharist/Christ so connected. It’s could be considered the first glimpse that salvation also includes gentiles?

Thank God for you Fr. Wilton. We are in the desert in Rochester New York. At The Mass I went to on Jan 1 at Christ the King Church, the Deacon spent 2 minutes talking about Mary, and 10+ minutes teaching everyone a "song" in sign language like we were infants. Some charitable parishioners might say it was a "missed opportunity" (to talk about The Mother Of God), but to me it was shameful treatment of Our Lady and the reason for the Homily. Thank you, and thank you for your fervor for Our Mother, your sermon moved me to tears too.

I commend Fr. Wilton for his indomitable courage and perspective to reveal the ravages acting on mankind. Too bad the average catholic priest won't consider attacking the present day degeneration of the human character we see everyday. It's too many days that so many Bishops sail on the arch of political correctness and restrict sharing true reflections of the world we live in. From the pulpit we can all be called out for our transgressions, and at the same time we may become more inspired to reflect upon strengthening our love for Christ and His ways for us. The Truth can in no way hurt us, it bolsters our commitment for what is true and righteous, it is a compass that has no deviation or error. Christ is the Truth, He is our Compass. Thanks be to God.

I am blessed to live near the Chapel of Divine Mercy and I was there for the Mass and this excellent sermon. All the Fathers of Mercy are good speakers. In my youth in the 60's and 70's I experienced the counterculture. Now that I am 70 I am ready to be a member of this new counterculture.
