I was just going to post exactly this. Really cool to see the scale. And the quality of the videography and editing is just pro level. I guess that's one nice thing about Chet having a day where he's not so busy... he has the time to take the drone up, take some really nice footage, then edit it into a fantastic video for us.
You guys and gals all whoever beat me to it. It’s amazing how well the content and comfort front of the camera is becoming. Guys are doing a fantastic job.
Chet I have been watching your channel a long time, I’m so Glad Eric has been with you through a lot of Time on the Farm and does a lot more than what people See. He has been there to Pick you up in your most difficult times. What a Great friend he is to You. Sometimes we take things for granted, I know Nikki and him were good friends too, it was always a Hilarious time with your Family when you started this channel looking back on how Far you have come. Best Farm show for Sure. Respected in the industry. Keep up the Great work you do.
I always enjoy your videos! watch every one of them, and can almost smell Amy's cooking. the drone video at the end was Epic! best one yet Chet! look foward to your videos always. God Bless You all,and thank you all for your hard work providing food for us.
I missed out on spring work this year due to surgery. Your drone video just refreshed my soul, especially the dual rigs at 23:26. That was truly a gift to me. Thanks Chet! Ray from Dawson
Back in 1982, I was working at the Purdue farms. Dead broke i asked my boss if i could work all weekend straight. I started at 6 am Friday and made it until 3 am Sunday morning. I thought 3 more hours and I will have been up for 48 hours straight, I can make it. I turned the tv on and next thing it was 9 pm Sunday night. Crazy how your mind and body works without sleep. The payroll dept had called my boss about my hours that week. Lol
It is neat to see the different moisture and soil types from the drone. I feel bad for Erik and his food issue but at least he didn't wake up to a house filled with smoke. I like seeing how excited Brody got to go planting beans. Hope this weather straightens out so you can take care of your crops and don't have a lot of PP acres.
The disappointing look on Brodys face of the seed bed prep was discerning as well as a bit achingly humorous as you could tell he knew what he was in for....... Where's the mold board at 😁😁
One of my high school classmates died of smoke inhalation from a fire while he slept after he had something cooking on his stove. It started a fire in his house but it didn’t burn down. RIP Danny !
I have to chime in with our appreciation of the higher drone shots. My husband did several 36- 48 hour straights when he was in his late 20's. One memorable was sitting down on the couch with a full glass of milk in one hand and a pb&j sandwich in the other, hours later waking up still on the couch with a still full but warm glass of milk in hand and 1 bite out of the sandwich!
Great video! Glad to see some better weather for you. For the planter electrical issue, try using dielectric grease when you plug/unplug the connections. Could be that there is some dust or moisture getting in the connectors since they are in such a crappy location.
Larson Farms, established 1918, that's 106 years folks! Ready for beans, give me beans Beano. Never cooked BBQ toothpicks before = what fun! It's just wet - what can you expect from daily rain in Minnessottaa Ha Ha? It's Gumbo for sure. Not quite jambolaya. But we should visit the Farm just to enjoy a Lunch from the Amy Larson Farms chef. Wow! Does that look delicious! The drone video is over the top as always! Thanks Chet for great video great editing, and great information!
The guy who farms the land behind us runs an older Terragator 8203 3 wheel deal. I have no idea how fast it is, but from where I stand it looks like he flies through the fields. This sadly is our last season for him planting. Some huge builder of cruddy houses that cost 500K and up bought all the land. I gotta get outta Illinois man. 14 years of 13 straight miles of farm field directly behind us and now we're going to have houses. Very depressing....LOL. You guys got room for us to build out there? Good video Cates....Cheers
Would like to see more drone footage Chet especially the ones that are way up high where you get a idea of the tractor and whatever piece of equipment it is pulling like the digger turning the ground black
Chet, would you consider putting up a map of all your fields so we can get an idea of how much area you cover and how far it is from one end of your fields to the other. Thanks.
Next time Chet unplug one connector at a time maybe you can pinpoint which one has poor connection or if that doesn't fix it shake the harness 1 area at a time just a thought
Very interesting video. Enjoyed the ribs story. The drone footage was outstanding. Wish there was text about what rig was behind the tractor for us viewers.
