I used to share this demo version with all my friends saying it was better than the album version and honestly I stand by it even now. The 'you sure' and 'time to dance' parts should have been kept in. Listening to this in 2022, it's still amazing.
i love the 'you sure you sure' that they kept in live versions too, but for everything else i do prefer the album version, mainly bc it's so much cleaner and it's a smoother listen in general. obviously all of that is imo, i still enjoy listen to this version once in a while

This song is actually based off of one of my favorite books, Invisible Monsters. The opening line is about the beginning of the book, where one of the characters has been shot and is bleeding on the ballroom floor. She isn't doing it for the attention even though that's all she craves. The main character is a model, hence the, "Have some composure." "Where is your posture?" And the "Give me envy, malice" etc. --->
Coming back to this since the panic! split, and i still think its incredible that none of the lyrics were changed, when usually in demos the lyrical content is still in its early stages, and is more fleshed out in the final version. just shows how much of a talented lyricist ryan was :')

I have been LOOKING FOR THIS VERSION FOR YEARS!! I had a random MP3 of this version when I was a teenager and when my harddrive became corrupt half way through transfering my music I lost this version!! I didn't know it was a demo I just thought it was just a remix

did anyone else notice the little Camisado lietmotif, if i can even call it that, but you can hear Camisado in this if you listen to it carefully, and it doesn't sound exactly like it, but you'll hear it, and you'll be like holy shit
