Mr. Chris, thank you for all these videos. I’m under hospice care for stage 4 pancreatic cancer, and your work with the machines give me a little bit of peace with the rhythmic sound. I don’t altogether know why, but on a particular bad day, your vids have a calming affect. Once again, thank you
@@letsdig18 Well lets see how many hours you have on it in 5 years, my guess is 10 hours, jeeze louise just stick it on Craigs list for a rusty sheriffs badge or something :-p
Is it wrong that I have been waiting for this part all day, there's something about your videos that just make the day a whole lot better, keep up the great content 👏
Never fear, the pond master Chris is here! Love the vids but your wit and sense of humor is outstandingly refreshing. I hope you never lose that trait. Anyone could operate those machines but your ability to achieve such wonderful results for the customer put you in a class by yourself. Take that as a compliment.
I use a 24T Excavator and D6 dozer on a farm here in Australia, I've dug out and reshaped some of the ponds and graded the gullies and tracks. It's noted that I'm doing a good job, not surprising as I learnt all my techniques from watching your videos😀 Thanks Chris
Already looks a thousand times better, but that is going to be a beauty when it's done. I can see exactly what you are seeing and you are correct. If you cannot see it before you start, there is no way it will turn out. Anybody can "move dirt" but unless you can visually conceptualize the end product, you better be following the boss man to the letter. Someone has to have the vision of the end product. Well done boss man.
This was as satisfying a video as any I’ve watched during the past few years-the grader working is the most relaxing, but not quite as satisfying as shaping a pond. Definitely a good day at the office Chris! 👏🏻✌🏻
watches Chris modifying his resume... pond dredging, damn building, trailer deconstruction and now ceiling and wall plastering.. yeah.. or maybe not ;)
10:02 Your skill right there has to take years to develop. That's some smooth cutting. Sure enjoy watching you practice your art. Cheers from Louisiana.
The view from the dam looking towards the house already looks so much better. I think it will be a beauty when you have finished weaving your magic. Take care & cheers🐨🦘🥰
neat job buddy , nothing like working your way out of corner trimming everything up and seeing the big picture take place , but also staying a step ahead of what you have left to clean out , ive done my share of dams here in australia and there always a mind challenge ....
Watching you work that grading bucket on a surface like that reminds me of Bob Ross the way he handles a knife and a brush on canvas... almost exactly the same! 👏🏽👍🏼☺
I was wondering how you were going to deal with the head section, whew what a marsh. Looks really great so far and can't wait to see the completed pond. Well done, sir.
Even with the sun, it is so rewarding to watch you do your MAGIC, " Spreading the Mud like Icing on a Cake", that's what I am talking about. I guess I am a Letsdig Fene, waiting all day for a video.
Another amazing pond transformation. Also just awesome watching Chris perform artwork with the mud. Kind of like watching someone with a 60,000lb hand trowel. The mud master at work
You Chris make the job looks easy but you are a true professional. There are a lot of operators that feel they are good operators but in truth they cannot hold a candle to your ability. I look forward to your videos always.
Gotta say Chris I like how you make sure you’re happy with it more then the customer. anyone that does grading will understand what I’m saying.. you really show you’re Character in the work you do. Bigggg thumbs up. Hopefully this mess coming this weekend doesn’t do much of anything I’m central area. We don’t need rain or snow and sure as heck don’t need freezing rain right now.. stay safe love the content.
Really nice to wake up on Monday morning and find a new post by Letsdig18 Chris. Definitely one of my favorite pond rehab vids. She's gonna be a beut when he's done. Coffee is makin' and I'll be watching asim eating my breakfast sippin' coffee. I really like it cause it's a 40 minutes long one. Always a good way to spend retirement time on lockdown.
Looks like the makings of another great job.....just listening to your comments. you hit the nail on the head....I am a retired spray painter down under and was a tradesman for over fifty years.....Have painted everything from powerplants to gas plants down to heavy trucks and equipment as well on down to rolls royces, Bentleys and so on.....After a lot of experience I (like you) discovered the ability to picture in my head what the results were going to be expecially on certain show jobs or jobs done as in collector vehicles, doing up classic cars and so on.....After a while the mechanics of your trade become pretty constant as your experience with it grows but the head part of it takes some years........Thoroughly enjoy your videos and always enjoy your comments on how it will start to look at the end.......Great videos which I enjoy......
"Make it look nice." They hired the right man for the job, that is for sure. You really care about a good appearance as well as smart land management. Bravolingus!
Yeah, When you can picture what your going to do, It makes it a lot easier to see it as your going along.... Chris, I believe that you need to go ahead and get another one of those grading buckets, just to have as a reserve !! Lololol.. Man, That Grading Bucket in my opinion , has been a game changer for you, Like you said, when you first got it, it's one thing to have a grading bucket on the mini but, to have it on your Big Machine has just pushed your work to a whole other level , I believe !! It really has made you the pond/ lake master !! lololol... It works so well with what you do... You got a Big Dent in it today, It's really going to change that whole place, Gonna be Nice !! Well, have a Great evening Man !! And, On too the Next....
You have done an amazing job, this realy looked like a big sh** hole to start now it looks like a great recreational pond great job and great video's. Thank you for sharing.
So I've been watching your channel for around 4-5 years now and haven't missed a vid. I'm addicted 😅. Ive even started farming sim games just for the digging 😂
Starting to look proper tidy that is Chris.🙂 Hard fought battle though, I am going to guess you never can fully trust a plot like this one, as it could be hiding all sorts of surprises. It seems to be going well so far and long may that continue. 😉 Be well.🙂
Not that I'm qualified to give you advice but around here we pick up one side of the machine and run the track to help clean them out. It freezes pretty hard up here and that helps alot.
There are a lot of ponds you've worked on. What is the main use for a pond there? Water retention? Personal fishing/swimming hole? What are the ponds used for?
From here, it seems like each day is a good day, well unless something breaks. It looked as though you were frosting a cake when smoothing out all that mud.
I don’t remember which great sculptor said I the sculpture was always there i just removed what didn’t belong. You don’t make ponds, they were always there, you just have the insight to dig out what’s not pond and fill in what’s not pond. Thanks for sharing your videos, I know they are great, just wondering if I could ever afford the land and to pay you to be creative. Wishing you and your family the best.
Man you are smooth when it comes to handling soopy mud, the years of experience shows, as some of your past videos showed if you don't know what your doing you can make a big mess, not on this one, man that pond is gonna look 💯 times better when your done, it's amazing the improvement of the eye appeal when all the trash an brush is gone , what it looks like, your ponds should be in a magazine Chris, thanks for sharing an I look forward to seeing the next video, keep up the awesome work 💪💪🇺🇸🇺🇸
Really nice video enjoyed it very much,as always your talent shines thru.u can make a oasis out out of a swamp, beautiful day, hope for you it stays that way until you can finish the project.keep it up.👍👍👍👍😎😎😎😎
