I really like seeing the whole dressage test. Please just keep doing what you do. I really like that you put the real deal out there, and I think you are very brave for pushing through the difficult times for all the world to see. For what it's worth I believe you and your ponies are much better than you give yourself credit for. When the trainers daughter got on Jam at training and took her through a round of jumping, she looked incredible. I think you have the same ability to make Jam look like that, you just need to find the confidence to believe in yourself and the training you've done with your girls.
Yes, at this point it really is just a matter of milage, a few more lessons to keep progress focused forward. Some details that need to be concentrated on for better quality of movement are to get those half halts from seat and leg coming through more automatically😊. All else is in place. So much refinement happened this last year! Congratulations Meg!!!❤❤❤
WOW! Jam kept her cool so well in the dressage test, despite the constant distractions of cyclists and cars, such a cool pony well done Meg and team Elphick ❤❤x
"Work on your horse and she will get better, work on yourself and all of your horses will be better". 💖So happy for you beautiful, courageous, inspirational Megan Elphick!!💖
Even in the warm up you can see the massive difference all these clinics you’ve been to have made! No pulling or snatching, more forward and the trust between you and Jammy is so strong, so lovely to see thank you Meg! ❤
Pete's humour matches yours impeccably! Bet your house is a good laugh a lot of the time! Congrats on the results meg, we never doubted you so glad you've stopped doubting yourself ❤
I like to see the whole dressage test, just as you would see the whole round show jumping and when you post the equireels. Definitely keep the whole test. Well done Meg & Jammy ❤
Noticed super improvements today. You looked as if you had an excellent seat, your hands were steady and your balance and core position seems much stronger! Well done! Really well done!
i feel like people dont give meg enough credit like WOW her riding us just amazing!!!! she just jumps amazing and just pops over 80s like nothing!!! great job meg 🎉
Congrats! I like seeing the full dressage test with your commentary. For me, the music during your cross country walk is a bit loud, would like to hear your thoughts better. I don't know much about dressage or cross country since I've never participated in competitions, so I appreciate your comments. Otherwise I'd probably skip some parts where I don't know what's going on😅
I love seeing ALL. THE. THINGS! So full tests, full courses, and I especially love it when you get your equi-reel footage for the XC. Also, the really long vlogs (the 1hr + ones) are ALWAYS my faves - they really make it feel like we’re all there with you 🥰
A massive well done meg. Had a wee tear in my eye watching this. Super chuffed for you. As a mum who's daughter rides. I know how hard it is to see your child fall and lose confidence. Your doing amazing.
I love Jam she's absolutely mega and I say it all the time but what a credit both girls are to you. A massive well done for going out there and smashing it🫶
Brilliant stuff Megan. Well done. Lovely to see that great big smile, plastered across your face!! And I loved your comment about Pete,as you spotted him running (on Equireel), " Look at Pete running, oh God, I love that man" . That was such a lovely thing to say. But he is dedicated. No one can ever say he isn't!! Lovely couple 😎😎
So chuffed for you Meg!!! You did so well!! Congratulations on your 2nd place finish with Jam!! I love seeing the whole of the Dressage, Show Jumping and Cross Country. You did great Meg!!! Best Regards from your friend the Retired Paramedic, a S&R Dog and Handler Team Trainer and Horse Trainer in Ontario, Canada, Jenn. 💖🇨🇦🇬🇧
SO enjoyed watching you smash it! Dressage, ace, show jumping, best you’ve ridden for ages, XCountry, no dramatic hook-backs. Great job Meg, just what was needed. ( Pete’s Eats must soon score top dollar!)
Lovely confidence giving outing. Great that judges are marking correct tests more. I like seeing the full test. And that food looked amazing, worth visiting just for that!
Amazing!! What an awesome horse, first time eventing for the whole of winter and she's pulls up with that dressage test, amazing. Wonderful show jump and xc, i think she really enjoyed it
Could watch you and Jam all day! Dream team! So well deserved, swear she’s developed even more scope over the winter! She’s such a darling. Well done Meg. Your smashing this 🎉💪❤️
Thought that was a lovely dressage test. She is looking very good on the flat and her trot work has really improved. Very good and confident jumping rounds. It’s lovely to see. She is a gorgeous little horse.
this is so beautiful to see meg! i absolutely screameddd when you revealed your dressage score ❤❤🎉 this is so nice to see you taking care of yourself and re gaining confidence 😊 thank you for being such an inspiration 🥰🥰
I really appreciate seeing the dressage .Jam went so well. I personally think that D is the better mover of the grey mares but would like to hear your opinion of the comparison .
I have pretty much ridden straight dressage for most of my life and had some very good as well as some very average horses. For me 'making a silk purse out of a sow's ear", so to speak , has give me a lot of joy as a rider. Seeing their bodies change and muscle up is so very rewarding - this I can see with both your current ponies. You should be very pleased with yourself and your horses - they are so much stronger and are moving like dressage horses now, and that will only get better. I This is where the magic happens!
Yes Meg! You XC was amazing, I was amazed when you flew round that course! I’m so happy Jam is back out, good luck in your next event, you’ve come so far! 💕🫶🏼
I love your videos Meg! Keep up the good work with jammy :) your soo close to 200k 🎉 I can’t wait to watch you ride at ..✨badminton!! your gonna go AMAZING 🎉❤
Wow! You two ladies should be so proud of yourselves. It's like watching a totally different person in the last two videos, well done. So proud. Keep it up. 💗💗💗
Fantastic job, Meg - well done👏👏. Jam looks absolutely stunning. You can see all the hard work you've put in, now paying off. In the showjumping, getting her back on her hocks is producing such a tidy, scopey jump. A shout out to Hobbit & Pete - the chicken meal looked delicious 😊
Yay! Meg that’s so great you and jam got a sub thirty dressage!! So happy for you both and even when it doesn’t go to plan things work out in the end. ❤❤❤
Lets be real, everyone here just came to see Pete's eats. I guess the riding part was ok... (Im just kidding, you have improved so much and im glad to see you eventing again!)
Can’t wait to see you at Badminton Meg! I love your channel so much and seeing your fails and falls along with your accomplishments is amazing and very realistic! You inspire me so much and I wish you the best of luck at Badminton
Jammy looked so incredibly happy, like she's about to burst with the joy to be about and about again. She's really such a gem, little Jam. Super well done the two of you! Oh, and I love seeing full rounds of all phases (where technically possible) with voice-overs.
Well done Meg and Jammie!❤ I literally got a bit weepy watching you go around Cross Country. I'm so happy for both of you. Jammie is such a great girl. XXXX Can't wait for the next vlog. ❤❤❤
Can you do a video that talks about your last year and all you learned including the little known details of rider development so your young equestrian followers can learn more about the ins and outs od the details of rider development at the middle advanced stages of riding. Each lesson this year taught you at LEAST 3 gems and you improved in SO many ways! We would like to hear what changed in your riding. I will start by saying that when you aren't focused as much on your position and you focus more on the jumps AND your game face came on as you went through a rough patch, or as things got a little squirrelly balance wise, i saw your leg come back, and you relaxed through your spine in a way that allowed your center of gravity to drop and make your seat more solid and secure. 🎉
im so happy for you and jam bam!! everyone is so proud of you meg! you and your horses are so nice❤❤ hope all the ponies are okay and i cant wait the the buckskins babies!! :))❤
U guys are amazing lovely event looks like ur back!! Other events have to look out! I would like to see the whole dressage test because I can learn off it and I do like it with a voice over as well 😊
I always want to see the whole Dressage test, whole cc courses, whole sj course and hear your thoughts and judges comments. We can often relate and admire how you deal with it all. I'd kill to have your support crew, it takes a village, as you've shown. Seeing what it takes to get there is a lesson to all. A true inspiration to me who never really got back after a bad fall.
Nice one, I like to see the whole of the dressage personally. Still suffering flashbacks though to 'plop out of the donut hole' comment with sound effects - what a visual image :P
🎉🎉 You guys rocked it, well done! Proud of you guys, look at the two of you go! Very clean xc round for a confidence round before badders. Round of applause for Pete runnin' like a true mvp 👏🏼👏🏼 Well done Jammy and Meg! You've got this!
Amazing job meg! so happy to see you back in the show ring!!! i love having the whole dressage tests in the videos as i get to learn more about dressage and how you ride!
Congrats!! I'm so pleased you had this confidence boost before the 'big one'. Re: dressage tests. If you're doing a voice over and giving us info then a whole one is great, but if you're just showing us bits then highlights is probably better? Guess it depends on the purpose of the video?
As always I’m so proud of you Meg. That pony has got your back all the way. She’s telling you “I got this. Sit back and here we go”!! She really is so special. You have taken all the steps to get yourself back in a centered mindset. And by the way, I for one want to see all of the test not just a bit. 🐎🐎🐎
Jam bam is star!! well done you to i am so glad that your confidents is coming back up to standard!! that fall was a big confidents was a big knock well done you to!!
I like to see the whole dressage test, especially when it's close enough for us to see details clearly. If you want to save time on your videos, I often skip the warm-up parts. It's easy enough to do, so if others do like to see the warm-up portions, I can easily scoot by them myself :) 25 for dressage was amazing and well-deserved. Great day out for sure. Thank you for sharing the good and the bad :)
Well done Meg, team Elphick & Pete's Eats! First time out this season and you and Jam came 2nd, with an amazing dressage score, two weeks before Bdders too! xOx
Goodness me, that music in the XC made me think you were going to pull out part way through because of your nerves but YOU DID IT!!!!! You both did it! You absolute legends!!! I am so proud of you, Meg 💕. I’m actually tearing up a little bit just thinking about how scary that must have been for you BUT YOU SMASHED IT! You legend 🥰
I enjoy the full dressage test. And that cc round looked super solid and smooth. It might have been a bit behind the time, but I think you both needed that, especially you.
I about fell off my chair when you said your dressage score was 25! Your show jumping was beautifully done and your cross country looked effortless for Jam. She absolutely loves to jump and to go really forward and if you don't always have as much confidence in yourself as you should you should also know you're riding a superstar! Jam won't let you down if you sometimes let her sort herself out. She's "the pony that rides like a horse" after all. Even holding her back and not chasing the time to come away with 2nd place is quite something! Love to see the full dressage test by the way. Congrats!
Absolutely amazing. The dressage test was beautiful, like piggy said you can’t mark her down on what she is like as she keeps her head so perfect. Showjumping was amazing, could reallly see you just letting her canter and hardly even having to half halt. XC was even better, you looked like a proper team and smashed it! Also I heard on the tannoy before you went XC that you had best dressage of the day so far! Well done Meg ❤️
