Ross you are hands down the best FPL content creator! For me it was a green arrow of 2.1 million to 1.2 million without a certain Norwegian goal machine. Think I'll still hit the wildcard button tonight tbh.
Hello Ross, 1. Let’s get this out the way - You do not need a wildcard. 2. Like you mentioned we have to take a step back to analyze where you are currently and your target rank. Virtually everyone above you owns Haaland, so buying Haaland and captaining him won’t get you up the ranks. 3. Honestly Salah has been poor the past few weeks, as an owner it’s utterly frustrating seeing Luiz Diaz outperform him and Palmer hasn’t exactly been setting the world on fire. Son has been playing out wide, Saka doesn’t seem to have that high ceiling. So I understand the frustrations. However what I’ll say to counter this is …. If Haaland hadn’t scored 10G in 5Games; Would we really say Salah that is on track to score 372 FPL points is underperforming? Palmer on track for 290pts currently or son on track for 260 are not good enough? 4. The currently scoring rates are unsustainable for Salah and Haaland. However Son and Palmer are sustainable and should be seriously considered if the fixtures are there.
The video I’ve been waiting for all week, so happy to wildcard, it’s been such a mixed start to the season for me, sat at 6 million after GW1 and now just outside the top 1 million, so not too bad, thanks Ross!
Hi Ross, I’ve not really been feeling FPL this year if I’m being completely honest! I think I’ve put a bit of pressure (unknowingly and unintentionally) on myself to do well because of the time I spend watching content creators such as yourself - which I love. I aim to just take a backseat a bit more going forward. I know I can only make the best decisions I feel are right each week and the rest is down to the 11 players on the pitch. It’s cliche but true. Bro, I have been waiting for this. 😅 I believe you have to decide whether Salah is more essential than Haaland in the come weeks. You can balance your team with one.
A few things: 1) Your team would improve with a wildcard but it’s definitely not necessary, I’d only do it if you really feel like you’re missing out on Haaland 2) If you don’t wc , there’s no point of taking a hit for Haaland imo. You need that transfer to replace Jota anyway now that his position is under threat. 3) Keep it up with the videos! I know you haven’t started amazingly but this is my first season of properly watching Fpl content, thanks to your input alongside others I’m top 250k. I don’t watch for your rank, I watch for your input ❤
If u fit in Haaland, you need to upgrade keeper, couple of defenders, remove jota n eze, and calverts as ur additional striker is zero value, that seems wildcard level changes!
I wildcarded into a team that has Halaand, Salah, Saka & Gabriel. But I benched Gabriel (as had Raya) and also took out Palmer, Munoz & Smith Rowe!! I think the absence of Halaand, Salah's form, the Jota headache and the price volatility would all have me leaning toward a Wildcard. And the feeling that Mbeumo and Semenyo feel essential. However, your squad seems very decent overall. What I will say is that I remember waiting to about gw8 last year before wildcarding and working out that I would've been better off going earlier, if only from a team value perspective.

I got 77 this week and I'm chuffed, brought in both Robertson and Rogers for Gvardiol and Madueke and it payed off big time, rather than getting a total of 4 points from Gvardiol and Madueke, I got 16 from Robertson and Rogers combined! Jackson turned up big time for me as well! Had him in since GW3 and I knew with the chances Chelsea create that he'd be amongst the big points!
Tough two weeks fella, I’m an arsenal supporter and wasn’t expecting Gabriel to get two goals. I reckon that on paper you’ve got a strong team, but a few players like iota/Eze have been points dodging (I’ve also got both). I’m wild carding this week (don’t want to miss out on players I want by being priced out) but struggling to choose players iprice wise and also the issue of fixtures/rotational risk/players being in form. Chelsea and Utd make me nervous based on inconsistencies from last season, Solanke is tempting but would like to see a bit more of him for spurs (also have concerns about their consistency). Raya, Gabriel, TAA, Mbuemo, Semeyno, Saka and Haaland are locked in so far.
I say Wildcard to give you that spark back, mate. Your content and sense behind your choices is top drawer, but i feel where you're at right now, and a wildcard could be the route back to it. Make the changes, feel awesome going forward 🎉
Appreciate your honesty and content. I wildcarded last night. Kept Haaland, ESR. Rogers, Gabriel and Trent. Opportunity to shake up the other 10 players IMHO.
Honestly, think your decision making has been good and well justified. I think wildcard is probably the right call simply because Haaland requires a restructure. Like you say, your defense looks good. Midfield is tricky, I wouldn't want Diaz still but I think Jota, Salah and Eze out might be the right move. Debating how to WC myself atm!
Team looks fine Ross, I would just roll and then you can aggressively go in on a player/two for a week and switch out when their fixtures change the next week.
74 points. Went Saliba instead of Gabriel, thought he may be rotated with Calafiori. Had both last season may go back there and sell Porro. Rank at 224K. Mbeumo a must for Jota. I have Henderson too but again with Mbeumo your side looks good. You do know that Haaland is the elephant in the room!
I started Salah with the intention of wildcarding GW6 to bring in Haaland, so for me, it was an easy decision. I'd just stick to your strategy; Salah is a strong captaincy option with Wolves being short of Defenders. Haaland and Aina had price changes Saturday morning annoyingly. But some of my targets like Raya, Diaz, and Mbeumo changed prices Sunday after I'd made my transfer. 😊 The Mosquera injury was a little frustrating since he was a nice 4m rotation option GW10-17.
Martinelli would be a great 1 week punt differential with Trossard suspended. Would actually give you something over GW6 wildcarders as well… Still very early days. You can easily pull this back for a decent rank

Felt pretty smug when 90% of your WC draft is my squad haha 😄 lastly, data is very important but remember the essence of FPL is to go with your gut and make bravery decisions. I fortunately played Gabriel over the last two for example purely because he’s a big game player with great threat, acknowledging that he can also be prone to a booking but that’s the risk. Sometimes the answers are more obvious than we think. Love the work though man and keep cooking us up the good stuff ❤
I always prioritise fixtures over form, but it just doesn't seem to be working this year. I think that a lot of casuals have started well as a result. It'll start to even itself out. I'm just trying to win my mini-league without caring too much about rank.
I'm in a very similar position to you, and I won't be wildcarding. Taking Salah and Watkins out before great fixtures just feels terrible. Going against Haaland has only gone badly because others haven't performed. If you back Salah and Watkins, stick to the plan and wildcard next week

I’ve wildcarded. And I only have 4 players the same as u. Henderson, gabriel, saka and rogers. The rest is aina,lewis,diaz,mbuemo,palmer, Jackson and haaland. I think you should use it
Imo, you won’t be able to make up the Haaland points , can see him doing well vs Newcastle with full rest midweek(most likely) plus eze will decrease and raya will increase .
I activated the wildcard Saturday. Had been planning it since Gw4. Got the chopping block out. 13 of my 15 swapped. Kept Haaland and Konsa. Main swaps were Salah downgraded to Saka and Eze to luis diaz
It's going to be my first full season with you and I have to say I'm rooting for you so much this season. I like how you play FPL. Maybe sleeping over it for a day or two might help you.
Mbeumo in for either jota or Eze but overall your team's not bad tbh, but Haaland needs to be in your team sooner or later with his form and the fixtures coming up.
Liverpool have the early kick off in gw7 so we will know if LIV players start or not before the gw7 deadline, if Diaz is dropped, Bowen plays Ipswich(h) anyway.
Hey Ross. Always enjoy your vids and deadline streams so keep going. Not sure about WC for you as the team looks good if Eze finds some returns. Personally I’m on one now to move out Johnson Munoz minteh Jota Isak and swap son to Saka for now but will hold Watkins. Also benched Gabriel twice so that’s a learning!

If i was you I would Wc Change Porro for Gvardiol (play gabriel, gvardiol, trent this week) Eze,Jota, Salah for Mbeumo and Mandueke/Semenyo and any premium mid you want, if you cant fit go for McNeil (play all 5) Calvert Lewin for Haaland (play haaland and Watkins)
WCed in GW4 to get Haaland + Salah but knocking my head with Muniz, Bernado and Lewis…. As much as I regret not switching out DVD with TAA… might switch out Bernado to get Semenyo and Muniz another cheaper forward like Raul
Still fresh of the GW, but objectively, only one of your players is an 'issue', and that is Jota. Everyone else is nailed, and have good to decent fixtures. Obviously, Haaland haul against Newcastle and you're getting hate on Twitter, but i genuinely believe you get a cheeky 1week punt on someone and hit a WC button
Eze has been horrible, just like Palace. He's not gonna do anything, you're just letting go of points with him. Calvert Lewin? Don't think I even need to mention, mate can't score even if his life depends on it. He could keep Henderson for GW6 but that's it. You can have a keeper that's going into the relegation zone as your main

It is a tough position to be in and honestly him being a content creator isn't helping i think. You do have to take into account that if he had started Gabriel last 2 GW he would've been like 18 points better of, and at a much better rank
benched Gabriel last week and it was painful 15 points... I learnt my lesson this week and started him. 80point week even though i captained Salah instead of Haaland... Big green arrow.
My rank is very similar. Tiny red arrow, too bad I sold Henderson this week for Sels, could’ve gotten that green. Captaining Trent was my only good choice. I’ve already hit the WC, had done before the games even started I’m ready for a reset to this season! Here’s to breaking into the top 2m 😂
I started the season with Haaland. But the rest of my team drop stinkers week in week out, despite having good data. So you're not alone in this mate! Making decisions in FPL has never been harder. On that note, your team looks fine to me 😂 Regardless, I played an early wildcard to rest my mind 🤞🏽
I think you have to decide if you want Haaland or not. If you want Haaland, then I would wildcard this week, because then you can bring in Brentford and Arsenal players and catch price rises. If you bet against Haaland, then maybe wildcard after Watkins run of games. Going with Haaland is less risky, although it means you are playing catch up with people who started with Haaland, but you'll still have differentials like Diaz, Mbeumo, Semenyo. Maybe try a wildcard, where you can have Haaland and Watkins? Probably means Diaz to Smith Rowe though
My only concern is you have a place keeper and Everton striker I know it's only 1 match however they do clash which isn't ideal especially when it's Striker and keeper
Great video. Love your content. Your team is really good. Your payoff from a wildcard is really just Haaland and Mbeumo instead of Salah and Watkins. It is the Haaland captaincy that is the problem since anytime he gets two goals we as non- Haaland teams go backwards. I would bring in him for -4. Then you might find a wildcard can be delayed a bit longer which will be a differential later in the season.
I think you should WC, shame you missed the price changes, i got mbuemo, raya and diaz before the price rises. Ive been really on the ball with them this season so far and managed to hold team value and even transfer into a rise.

Raya, Flekken Porro, Gabriel, Trent, Greaves, Johnson Saka, Palmer, Mbeumo, Maddison, Rogers Watkins, Solanke, Wood I think having the triple spurs, triple Arsenal and then the best player from Chelsea, Brentford, Forest etc will be huge. Saka captain is fantastic for the next couple of gameweeks and I have potential for huge rank gain vs all the haaland perma captainers. Could all going terribly wrong though as always! Fortune favours the bold 🤞
I don't understand the Porro love, Spurs defence is too bad you are relying on only attacking returns. Your bread and butter for defenders should be clean sheets and the icing on the top is a attacking return. I think we still look at Arsenal from 3 seasons ago. If you had a City defender would you have played him over Greaves? Also money in the bank doesn't get you extra points. Use your budget.

Or wildcard reset & get a GREAT team , your forward line is awful let’s be real here, I mean you’re relying on Calvert Lewin… just say that out loud Calvert bloody Lewin 😂 , go get a forward line full of reliable prolific goal scorers & I think you will have a fruitful rest of the season . - This isn’t a hate comment just constructive advice , I use lots of your advice & it’s great! But Sometimes it’s good to take other peoples too.
I'm in such a mess. I've already done Palmer to Diaz and i've got Muniz, Joao Pedro and Rico Lewis in my team. I may have to take a minus 8 to not lose all my budget. At least everyone else is doing well for me

Just hit the "constructive comments request" Your team is a lot like mine, well - it's completely different, but in the way that each position is okay, but most are not who'd youd pick if you had a choice. My plan was 3 transfers to bring saka and Gabriel in, but left jota as the only Liverpool attacker. I hit wildcard yesterday and made 9 transfers. I was around 70k overall at that point, so my team had served me well - but it was time to move on 😂
Your team is fine, but a wildcard would clear the decks and give you a renewed sense of optimism going into gw6. I don't think you need to wildcard, but I think you should
Hmm, I agree your team on paper looks great for GW7 and probably wouldn't need a wildcard if it wasn't for that Norwegian robot and needing to keep up with the template. Getting him in for a -4 (looks more like a -8 as you'll need to get rid of Jota) when you're planning to WC GW7 anyway seems risky and a waste of valuable hits. If you could plan to delay the WC beyond GW7 it could be an option? Please don't feel disheartened by not doing as well as you'd hoped. 3.5M after 6 GWs means absolutely nothing. Either way, your content is still elite and we're still watching 🙂
Could only pull off 51 points, unfortunate benching of munoz and muniz with robinson and isak not performing. isak is coming out for watkins, robinson out for konsa (yes two villa players but their team is primed for a great few weeks). Hoping minteh starts next time as well
