I’m watching this movie as I do all Svengoolie movies. Outdoors, in my screen room, with cocktails and a pretty good chance a red fox will shriek and scare the crap out of me. It’s just a bonus.
I just watched it, and you know what I did not think it was a terrible movie. I actually liked it. It's not for everyone, and nothing is, but if you're a fan of things like ancient aliens I think you would like this movie.
Saw this in the movie theater in 1982 when I was eight. Our Boy Scout troop went to see it on a field trip. Scared the crap out of me and I didn’t sleep for two nights.
I'm glad to see I wasn't the only one. I saw it around '83 or '84, maybe even early '85 and it stuck with me. From the mummy's hand reaching out and touching the lady while she was going down the hall made me afraid to walk past any doorways for some time. And the way the other lady freaked out as the mummy was walking after her. And the eerie synth, a similar sound of which would haunt me again on "Starman". Yes, when I first saw Starman, I thought about this movie when the music started playing as he was creating himself, though by that time, I had no idea what the name of this movie was or even what it was about. It wouldn't be until 2019 that I'd stumble back across Time Walker. I'm glad I did because it is like solving a puzzle form childhood. Though it is crazy now to think this actually scared the crap out of me.
That's what brought me here too, half the time he misses with corny trash sometimes He hits with classics and sometimes they are so bad they are good like watching Plan 9 from outer Space! Lol. Let me know what you think after watching if you can and I'll do the same.

1:32 Man, I loved those microfiche readers, I'd pull out a hair from my head and look at it under the glass, the cool time was when you got it by the root.
I remember watching this movie when I was about 7 or 8 and it scared me half to death and stuck with me for years. I had no idea what it was called when I tried to search it down on the internet. I knew it had to do with a mummy and some jewels. I remembered the mummy reaching out and touching the lady as she went down the hall, the crying baby & a flashing light out in the dessert. Try searching for a movie based only on those few parts. LOL Anyway, I did maybe 3 or 4 searches for movies with mummies years apart and the final search finally yielded this, which is exactly the movie I remembered. And I must say...it's crazy to think I was scared over it. I enjoyed re-watching it again, but it is a little cheesy. It is one of those things that lead to interesting faint childhood memories.
Probably way too told late for this but, I'm interested in seeing the sequel. Saw bits and pieces of the movie over the years but never once saw the bit where it reads 'to be continued...'. Once you see the ending, it makes total sense. It's like watching a film about lawful-evil E.T. getting home. 'E.T. - fungus amongus!'
0:11- I don't know, these movies tell me that something bad ALWAYS happens when we do this. 0:15- Okay, then why am I hear? 1:57- Oh yeah, I bet it's just like E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, only with more nudity and spilled guts.
At the end of the movie it says to be continued...so where is part 2?..I watched this as a young kid in the early 80s I loved it but could never find part 2😥😥
If I had gone to see this movie based on this trailer, I would have been so disappointed. This makes it look like "alien must avoid evil government people and get home" along the lines of Starman or ET. But, it's really a monster movie. I do like the ending. It's so boldly blunt.
