I got introduced to retrowave when i started seeing this girl a couple years ago. We quickly became very fond of each other. I felt like the music was encouraging my feelings to come out with a strong force. We were beautiful and it was intense like an 80’s love scene but alas it was not meant to be. As quickly as it started it ended and i first heard this song when i found myself driving alone at night with the most severe aching heart i ever had. The song helped some. 2 years later ive moved on but i still think about her when i hear this song. The whole thing feels like a dream.

I grew up in the 80s and listening to retrowave makes me yearn to go back to that era so strongly that my heart actually physically hurts.

I miss driving past the Vegas strip with music like this playing in the car.

This track hit me so deep, being an 80's kid and currently lost both spiritually and mentally. "Head to the neon lights, but I don't know why" is almost exactly what I need to hear right now. The neons representing God and my childhood.....the good times I use to have, I need to get back to happiness. Simply amazing!!

This song makes me feel so sad :( not in a bad way but it just associates me with my childhood during the 80's - those time which I never be able to get back again. Those sweet time where I enjoyed my life the most. I just wish that sometimes, you can invent a time machine to get back in the time and be a part of that era again. Things you regret, things you want to do again, people who you have lost and want to spend more time with them again :((

I became a fan for synthwave when I saw "Summer of 84". Since then I m looking for this genre. Just today I saw "The Djinn". Guess what? All tracks were from "The midnight". I loved Neon light. But now I love it even more. Each song has a memory. For sure I miss everything when I listen to The Midnight. You really know what is music. Love the lyrical ones. Waiting for more awesome tracks.
