*I like the design of the **Bestt.Digital** translator , and charging case. It is little bit heavy. The application is easy to use, but there are things to be improved. For example, I knew the earbud are connected to the phone, but I didn’t know I need to reconfirm it again, so I would be able to use “Speaker mode” . I took sometime to find it though.*
Thank you! I'm glad I've found my your channel. I've been looking for a good offine translator device for Cantonese and Italian for my parents and in-laws. This is the best so far.
I work as a medical translator. For the sake of informing everyone and correcting a common misconception, translation is written and interpreting is verbal. Also, I urge everyone to use the services of a human translator or interpreter, especially in formal settings like depositions at a court or communication for medical purposes at a hospital. While I respect the efforts of tech companies to bring such products to masses, they still need time and effort to replace human translators/interpreters.
I just opened their website, holy mother, what an interesting devices they made. Obviously it won't be perfect, but to body language and key sentences is enough to communicate efficiently. Would definitely buy the headset version.
Woooo from japan is a new all in one communication app with live translation in your live meeting and chat. they have over 12 languages available in their all free platform
That’s very cool, you can’t always be guaranteed good connection when using a translation software so having a small device that plugs in to your chosen handset that does the job is great.
1. What is inside the wonder-dongle? The actual translation, as I understand, is executed in the application. 2. Most of modern phones have 2 microphones, so why we are not able to just use the app without dongle?
The only thing this adds is directional mics which may give you some benefit over the standard mic of the phone. As to the rest, google translate does have a conversation function so you don’t have to be pressing the button back and forth. Granted googleT is online only of course and latency has a lot of impact on how fluid conversation can be, but I don’t see yet the value add of these devices. I looked also into the KT2/w3 from them but those are 300$ and reviews are not great so I won’t be buying one of these soon.
Japanese translation is pretty good. The problem was the person speaking English. Maybe it would be better to speak simple English statements when translating from English to Japanese.
But Kettle does not support Ukrainian, Just in case Time Kettle should ask, Ukraine is the largest Country in Europe. Ukrainian should definitely be supported, both on and off line.
